Email Print |(1) Comments Madison - The Duane and Diamond Show led the Whitefish Bay Dominican boys basketball team to its second straight Division 4 state title by combining to score 48 points in a 57-44 victory over Auburndale Saturday afternoon at the Kohl Center.
Senior Duane Wilson, who will play at Marquette University next season, finished with 26 points, seven assists and five rebounds.
Sophomore Diamond Stone added 22 points, 16 rebounds and shot 11 of 17 from the floor to give the 24-4 Knights their fourth WIAA state title.
Dominican won 19 of its final 20 games, with the only loss to reigning Division 1 state champion and undefeated Germantown. The Warhawks go for a repeat later tonight.
Auburndale (26-2), which has just two seniors, was hoping to win state for the first time since 2000. The Apaches were led by senior Austin Hawkins' 31 points and 13 rebounds.
Wilson scored all 14 points for Dominican in the 4th quarter as they won the state title. Had 26 points for the game.

The kid is an absolute stud. Best left hand I have ever seen for a high school guard

This will make him Junior's diametric opposite!
He's a stud. His story is amazing and I'm proud to have him as a future warrior. Best to his mom and best to his run at a hs title
This is some great icing to the already warm-fuzzy cake that was today. I think it's time to bring back the "junkyard dogs" moniker for Marquette as it seems to be a requisite to play on this team. BIG performance by Wilson today. Good work DWillJr, congrats, and all the best for the health of your family!
Apologies for the formatting (if it doesn't come out), but that was a monster box score (for a HS game) for Duane.

Stone's was pretty epic too. That's a heckuva 1-2 punch that I would LOVE to see reunited as Warriors.
Agree 100%. They would make an awesome dynamic duo at Marquette!
