Not even a question in this one.  Vander for two absolutely clutch shots to save this one and get them the Title.

Heck give him Stud of the Year for that.

(Shout out to Jamil Wilson for really playing a great game though to keep us in it).

The last two shots are all that matters for deciding this one.

Blue.  Not for those last two hoops, but for not taking stupid shots at the under four mark of regulation.

If MU hadn't given away that 9 pt lead, I might say Wilson.   Since they did, and Blue got the buzzer-beater........Blue!

It was actually kinda nice we blew that lead. When we were up 10 I honestly had no idea who to vote for SOTG. Everyone had their moments.

Now its unanimous. Blue.

No need to change the picture that's up there - just add one on the tote board to Van's total.

I have been following Marquette basketball for decades and Blue's clutch performance at the end is now part of the lore. A shot to be savored, relished, shared.

A shot that will grow more and more legendary with each passing year.

Vander

My take is that this is Buzz' most important coaching job ever. I said a year ago that for Marquette to be a destination university, he had to coach Vander to be what everyone thought he could be.

Buzz has done that. Congrats to Buzz and the guys for the Big East championship, now it's on to New York for the tournament and our rightful place as a 2 seed in the NCAA.
