Here's to our share of a well deserved Beast first place finish.
Bring it home fellas with a W.
Go WARRIORS!!!!!!
Have to earn it on the road on the last day. Warriors.
Will be a tough game. Let's
Limit our turnovers
Score inside and draw fouls
Defend the three
Let's GO Marquette!
Biggest MU game since 2003.
Go Marquette!
Warriors vs. Redmen
Go Marquette!
Is there a trophy presention post game, should we win?
Me likee!
Ah, that trophy the Hoyas are hoisting looks nice. One must be in the house at the Garden.

would like to see ox get involved and get some touches early
Your prayer has been answered
Gardner getting killed inside
Ox got mauled the last offensive possession, had position went up for the rebound and got taken down from behind.
No blood no foul?
Well, DWil apparently fouled him.
Didn't take long for mike patrick to get wrong team's foul.
Another strong start. Right where they want to be.
Taylor is excellent at feeding the post. Can't wait to see him get more time.
Empty possessions :-\
Somebody might want to let Marquette know they are playing for a big east title.
I think Patrick and Elmore do not know that MU can share the title.
Elmore said GU wrapped up the league title and Patrick said MU came out flat because they already wrapped up the double-bye.
why do we always play like this on the road. Look like an NIT team. Short arming everything.
20 wins is the 38th parrellel? The Maginot Line? These guys are brutal.

Considering the way MU is playing, can't blame the announcers for thinking they have nothing to play for.
I turned on the TV to watch MU and STJ. All I get is a replay of the Nova game. Was that an instant classic?
I'd be worried if we up by eight.
Points coming too easy for Redmen, time to shut 'em down
Ugly so far. Not concerned yet

Agreed. Brutal so far, but, I predict MU will win going away in the last 15 minutes...just more talent. Blue needs to play a ton better. I would have more Jamil Wilson and Steve Taylor JR and even Lockett minutes (Lockett playing great defense, hitting the boards and not looking like the moment is too big for him)
Just got through security at Tampa airport and arse is planted at bar. See we are playing our regular game plan! Go Warriors!

Agreed. That awesome pass was almost stolen (got a hand on the ball).
Rack up fouls in them, proceed to take early jumpers and out of flow threes. Blue's going to have to do a Syracuse style bench-sitting if he plays like this.

Didn't know Elmore was traditional.
I love Vander's game but he is really pressing today....let the game come to you young fella
Weird ...when wears it inside , good things happen. Yet we always go back to dribbling around and chucking threes.
We truly need a point guard that can be a scoring threat.
Wow. After an ugly pile of steamed dog poo for most of the half....we are playing tough enough to persevere through and maybe take a lead into half. Nice!
MU will kick St. John's mf'in' ass in the second half.
Anyone know if that dude takin' the Greyhound from DC to the Garden ever made to the game?
That was comical, Vander
About where I thought we'd be at the end if the first half- pretty typical first half on the road agamist a mediocre to bad team.
Also, look at the game day article chili posted - SJU really bad in the second half.
OMG that pass was horrible.
It's moments like that why people have questions up and down the roster.
Pure stupidity.
Lol not one of our better inbounds plays.
It seems like we as a team tend to go with layups instead of dunks on breakaways. And it also seems like we get a lot of those breakaways blocked.
Quote from: Blueprint on March 09, 2013, 01:47:39 PM

Jinx! I prefer it too, but nice three by Cadougan there. Kicked out by Vander after working the offense and waiting until the shot clock down so that was the best shot we'd get; I'll take threes from low percentage shooters in that way.
Defense has tightened up, continue to handily win the rebounding battle and we'll be ok.
Can we just lose our end of half timeouts? Our out of timeout plays continue to be terrible, might as well not force it.
It's pretty obvious Elmore and Patrick are east coast guys. They can barely hid the fact that they are rooting for St. John's. I thought these guys couldn't get any worse! It's making watching a tense game even worse.
Okay...deep breath...we withstood the jitters and a hot SJU team in the first half....now bring it home!!!
Lets get that banner!!!!!!!!!
How come we don't have any OB plays that lead to bunny ops?

I thought this pair did only ACC games. I was shocked the first time we had them, let alone having them 6 times now.
I will never forget Elmore harping about NYC guys on Pitt when we played them in 2008. Also, one of the worst officiated games I can remember.
Key stats:
9 Turnovers, forced 2 (only four fouls committed)
Blocked 4 times
Vander 1-5 with 3 TOs
Outrebounded them 22-14, everyone who has played but Mayo has at least 2 boards
7 assists on 10 made baskets
SJU shooting 33%, 1-10 three (one player is 1-9!), 0 free throw attempts
Actually, it's more about using the off hand to allow the basket to act as a shield from the trailing defender.
MU needs to take it inside - don't settle for outside shots. Get points, draw fouls. Let's GO Marquette! We will be much better int he second half. Statistics are on our side :) Let's GO MARQUETTE!!
I wish MU would stomp MU in the second half just to here the crap come out of elmore's mouth...
and to win a BE title :)

Seems like Vander could have dunked for sure - don't think he thought anyone was close enough to block it. But stuff it anyway. I don't know if D Wilson could dunk - maybe?
Only positive thing about that horrible pass is Buzz will pull that risky maneuver from his arsenal... Maybe it'll prevent us from blowing a late game possession in the tourney.

This is pretty much where I expected MU to be at the half... i really think we blow this thing open in the second half. They have a incredibly short bench today.

Because part of the advantage of having such a deep team, without one superstar, is that you can wear your opponent down. I certainly want to believe that will being happening during this second half. And, Ring out Ahoya for a championship!
We need to cut down 2nd chance points. Box out!!
Otule clearing a path for Junior...but that never seems to count for some people on this board.

Why do we foul and still let them score? Why don't we block out, take care of the ball or stick with the things that got us a 10 pt lead? All great mysteries that make this team so much fun to watch!

Amen. Patrick sounds like he's announcing from a barstool... Again. Sloppy... nothing astute, making casual observations, guessing on what actually happened.
Todd needs to figure out where the 3 line is.
Stevie is special.
The rest of our shots should be inside. No more long shots - get the ball in.
Another ill-advised chuck by Mayo. I don't get the love for his game.

Weak with the ball today. Don't like that we've avoided the post.
Love Steve's decision making in the high post
Steve Taylor Jr has been a huge differentiator for us today...great boards, great decisions, strong in the lane

No hustle to play defense, they're in the lane several times now with our players not even in the halfcourt yet.
