Awesome. Thanks for the links! Can't wait to watch 2 future MUBB players (knocks on everything made of wood in a 2 mile vicinity).

Hey man that is private...
12-10 Cuba City at the end of the first. Cuba City playing a triangle and two with the two defenders on Wilson and Stone. I'm not sure why Stone is playing above the free throw line. Cuba City's tallest player might be 6'2".
Really love the defense D Wilson is putting up so far. Great anticipation and a nice fast break dunk.
Duane will step it up and drop like 17 in the 2nd half like always
Dominican struggling to make any adjustments against the Triangle-2. Stone and Wilson are both being double teamed as soon as they touch it, with other players settling for waaaaaaay too many 3s. Dominican needs to get out on the break and beat the defense down the court.
Notes through the first half:
- Cuba City is face guarding Wilson when he doesn't have the ball. Doing a pretty good job too. He only has 2 points and they came from a transition steal/bucket.
- Stone not very assertive inside on D. He keeps getting drawn away from the hoop by his guy, which he has a considerable height difference on and then becoming a non-factor on the rebounding side.
- I said it before, I'll say it again: Wilson's D is really good. Great anticipation and vision, and he can fight through the picks and screens. He will get Vander Blue (frosh) time his frosh year if he keeps up that type of D at the next level.
Whhoooooo.... D. Wilson with a bomb three and a nice runner.
Stone needs to work on his explosion.
Quick 5 points for Wilson...Including a deep 3! Here he comes!
Love it when our recruits show out in front of all those badger folk.

Amen! Wilson stepping up big time right now...
This is tough to watch , not sure how two so highly rated recruits can't mop up on a bunch of short guys from Cuba city wisconsin...

This Cuba City team is tough...Play good D and can shoot from the outside. I mean they are 26-0...They always have a strong club in both boys and girls bball

When the opponent doubles up those two highly rated recruits any chance they can you need other players to step up.

Cuba City decided they wanted a slower pace and did so by bringing the triangle and two. It's hard to play that when you aren't used to it. D Wilson started to break that with his transition game, but Dominican looks a little out of their element with no one stepping up when Stone and Wilson are doubled up. That was a sweet dime by Wilson and the guy cutting into the paint.
Quick, quick feet by Stone!

Oh man was that a move. P-O-W-E-R.
Lord have mercy, so quick is Duane Wilson. Quickest guard I've ever seen us have.
wilson could be our point right now. impressive.

He has an impressive tool set that will get him minutes, especially his defense. I think he could hold his own against members of the Big East, but beating up on slower undersized traditionals isn't the same as facing Arcidiacano.
I thought this was a request to see the World Baseball Classic, or slightly better, a soccer match.
Don't forget, Jerry Pettegrew of Cuba City is one of Bo's WI HS butt-boys.
What the hell was on Jerry's head? Old age spot? Duane has a sick crossover ala Tim Hardaway sr. Kid dribbled through every double team and broke a few ankles doing it,
What Duane Wilson showed was huge speed and quickness but more importantly he can make shots which will make him very dangerous next year for MU. Not sure if he is much of
a passer but more of a scoring presence. His ability to beat double teams in the second half was pretty amazing. I see no reason that he can not be a star at MU. He is the type
of guard that all college teams would like to have, he is Peyton Siva with a shot.

Seriously, the guy is a legend. Go look up Cuba City on a map. Considering what the guy has done there....

Yes, because going against a bunch of farm boys from Grant County is *just* like going against BE defenses.
Last night was the first time I've seen Wilson play. He's quick and can shoot, which will provide a nice change of pace with Derrick Wilson.

Derrick Wilson will be the defensive asset next year, they can play the point guards much like the bigs this year, D for Wilson, O for Wilson.

Well, to be fair, didn't Dekker do the same thing? I haven't seen Du Wilson, but didn't he make his bones (also like Dekker) on the AAU circuit?

Don't get me wrong, I think Wilson is going to be very good, but I can't really say that he "could be our point guard right now" by basing it on watching him play against Cuba City...or even any AAU team.
It are these expectations that inevitably lead to the "man...I thought Duane Wilson was supposed to be better than this" statements that will begin next November.
Did anyone else watch the post game conference? A reporter asked Duane about what this game meant to him considering the surgery his mother just had (she was diagnosed with breast cancer and had surgery earlier this week I believe) and I couldn't be more impressed with this kid. Started to break after answering the queston, but regained his composure and just really seems to be a great kid...I think he'll be a perfect fit for Buzz and Marquette.
One thing good is having a junior in Derrick Wilson next year so they can bring Duane around slowly, there will be enough scoring from other players but I do expect Derrick to score
a little bit more next year. MU will be as deep as this year with a lot of minutes for at least 10-11 players.

It really is a vicious circle, isn't it?
Didn't know his mother had breast cancer. Tough kid.
