Bilas comments that the Zags deserve to be ranked #1 in the country. Says Mark Few is definitely one of the Top 5 College Coaches today.
Not my opinions! Just reporting!
Hopefully they can get by #215 Portland today in Spokane...part of the death march schedule they endure.
Nice to hear Bilas has taken some time off from complaining about players being bumped off their cuts. He's nothing more than reason 83 to root against Duke.
What is Gonzaga's strength of schedule ranking?

I guess Bilas is wrong then.
Actually, the Bataan Death March is the MU Soccer team bussing it to O'Hare to catch their SWA flight that routes through SLC and gets into Geiger after 10 pm.

Close to 60
If you're casting a vote, it's hard to argue against Gonzaga as number one with how votes are generally cast. That said, I highly doubt any of the voters actually believe they are the best team in the country, even the ones that will put them at #1.

DING DING DING. Absolutely correct. They had a nice little forum on that this morning. Who will be "voted" #1 on Monday and who is actually a better team, for which they came up with about 6 or 7 on ESPN this morning.

Only because of the considerable disrespect shown to our Jesuit brethren to the west by Chicos.
Zags are NOT this year's racers. Zags are a national program who will be ranked #1 come Monday. They have had more Top 5 finishes in the past 15 years than Marquette.

Agree with yor stats, but they are over rated.

All I can say is that people who get paid to follow college hoops seem to think the Zags are deserving. At a minimum there is a consensus among writers, electronic media, and coaches that the Zags are a national power.
I have no dog in the fight other than I hear more about them locally than I do the entire Big East combined. A couple neighbors did their undergrad there, one lettering in baseball. I do like the underdog aspect of their story. And Bing Crosby is an alum - that means something.
