Title: SOTG
Post by: Lighthouse 84 on March 02, 2013, 03:08:08 PM
As good as Chris was, I've go to go with Jamil. Huge shots and big boards

CO2, Jamil was great, but 8-8 is a bit ridiculous.

Chris. Senior. Set the tone early. Defense. Offense. Perfect shooting.

Jamil is a very close runner up.

PS. Where is the guy that said we would be better off without Otule next year?

Either is worthy.   Otule hasn't won one yet.   Otule.    Certainly not Vander.

I agree with J. Wilson.  He had 17 points in second half, when the team played like crap after the ten minute mark.  Great game by Chris though, but thank you Jamil.  Toss a coin on this one.

Best game of the year for Jamil, but CO set the tone and drove us to the big lead early.

Otule. Jamil had some huge shots, but that hook shot and-1 in the second half by Otule was huge also.

Absolutely Otule. Dominant inside. I had thoughts of Jamil until CO's putback in the second. Pseudo-senior played like a Super-Senior today.

Otule.

But man, JWil was a stud in the second half.  He made the SOTG a difficult choice, which is a "good problem", it seems to me.    :)

Otule, he is the big reason we jumped out on Notre Dame early, which is why we won the game.  Wilson kept Notre Dame from getting back in.

CO. Not only the offense, but the defense (Cooley 0 points, sick or not), rebounds, blocks, sealing, etc.

But there is that missed FT...

(Not to take anything away from JW who made some big shots in the second half.)

Jamil Wilson.

He prevented an Irish comeback almost single handedly, and was clearly the best player on the floor for most of the 2nd half.

COt, great D & Off. Jamil did great, but it was COt that put us in a position to win the game.

Stud of the GAME, not part of the game.

Only Blue and Cadougan played more minutes than Jamil.

Jamil had three more points than Otule, same amount of rebounds, AND shut the door on an Irish comeback in the 2nd half.

Jamil = SoG and I don't think it's that close.

Title: Re: SOTG
Post by: MU82 on March 02, 2013, 10:07:29 PM
In two-horse race, I'm going with the slightly bigger horse to win by a nose.

Otule is my choice for helping us take a big early lead and for that rebound late when we were struggling.

A close second for me, Wilson really stepped up and certainly would be a worthy choice.

Wouldn't quibble with either.
