Title: NY Times on Big East name.

I know there are multiple threads on the subject but was too lazy to find them.

Well-written and interesting take. Not anything really new, but written with a confidence that the C7 will, indeed, get the Big East name.

Ya, this makes it sound like all but a done deal. If all we have to do is give up NCAA credits as the article makes it sound I'll be ecstatic; I thought that money was already long gone.

If you are a UCONN fan you have to be sh1tting a brick right now. The name is the only thing that might keep you relevant long enough to get into the ACC or Big #. No new name will be any good when the schools in the conference have nothing in common: The League of Red-Haired Step-Siblings perhaps?

I wish there were more articles written from the perspective that we're retaining the name and conference history because it rightfully belongs to the 4 founding members from the C7, plus Villanova has been around since almost the beginning, and DePaul and us have just as much claim to it as Cincy and USF.  I don't like the fact everyone is portraying it as damaged goods and we're only getting it because of money.
