0-14 Penn State beats #4 Michigan tonight. DJ Newbill with 17 points, 5 assists, etc to lead the Nittany Lions
Penn State was 0-14 in the B1G and 8-18 overall with an RPI of 200. Michigan has dropped four consecutive road games, flying in the face of the idea that it's not that hard to win on the road. Warren Nolan has the loss taking them from #6 to #11 in the RPI. MU at #14. Good chance for Michigan to recover with a remaining schedule of home vs. MSU, @Purdue, home vs. Indiana. They haven't lost at home yet, but if they start to falter there's potential to MU to move ahead on the S-Curve.
You're so cute ;)
Any chance this thread gets as many responses as the ones that point out Indiana's losses?
You know, all four of them.
Also, he wasn't their leading scorer, which is what your post deceivingly implied

That's what some people default to, not sure why....leaders of a team don't have to just be the high scorer. Can be an assist man, rebounder, etc.
Newbill had a great game, 17 points, 5 assists (most on team), played the most minutes (all 40). Good for PSU...that is a true humiliation and a true stunner.
Michigan needs better players. Elite teams win on the road easily.
Newbill didn't lead the way. Marshall and Travis did.
Marshall had 25 points and shot 64.7% eFG, just 1 turnover.
Ross Travis (from Minnesota) had 15 points, 12 boards (3 off), 4 assists, 4 steals, was guarding at times Burke (!), 0 turnovers.
Newbill had a solid game, but did turn it over 4 times.
Anyway, some how Michigan lost despite the traditional. Staukas the traditional coughed it up 5 times.. Burke 6.
McGrady with EIGHT minutes?!
He'd get more with us!!!
And #11 Zona loses to USC?!
Gabe York with THREE minutes?!

So now Newbill has led Penn St to a 1-14 record in the BIG and Vander has led Marquette to an 11-4 record in the Big East. Hooray for both! Maybe that's why Philly Coach and that journalist who said we drew the short straw in that deal have vanished.
im still around buddy. i wasnt a fan of the psu move. anyone who knows basketball understands that psu was a bad situation basketball wise. but again i dont make decisions for these kids, i just give them the pros and cons on wats on the table. (meaning offers) the have to live with their choice...
oh and lenny, i never said mu drew the short end or what ever you made up.

Sorry Coach, guess it was Brad Forster who thought DJ was as good or better than Blue.

Forster had his panties in the ultimate bunch over that situation.
