1) There will be many fouls called.

2) Junior defending Carter-Williams is not a good thing.

3) Anderson must sit.

11:10 mark, MU up 14 to 12.  D. Wilson in for Junior.  MU goes to zone and gives up easy basket.

D. Wilson on next possession just throws ball around perimeter, turnover.

Junior back in game one minute later.

Hey Buzz, I have an idea.  Lets just pass the ball around for 33 seconds and whoever has it can shoot.  This worked great in NOVA game.

Especially our point guard who is shooting 23% from three.

MU playing zone because of matchups and is not working.

What happened to valuing each possession?  The turnovers would be more tolerable if they came from trying to make plays rather than falling asleep in the sluggish offense.

Title: Re: Syracuse game thread
Post by: nyg on February 25, 2013, 06:56:41 PM
MU shooting 45%, yet 2 for 10 from three.
Mayo 0 for 3, Lockett 0 for 2.
8 turnovers.

Cuse shooting 41% with 2 for 8 from three.
Keita had not scored in five games, but has 5 points so far.  Big difference here.

Otule not playing well in this zone defense, getting beat bad from behind.

All in all, probably take that after going 8 minutes without a score.

Having a brutal game, Keita is just killing him.  The guy hasn't scored in five previous games.

Otule is taking up the space underneath that allows Gardner to play up high.  Interesting that they are keeping Davante up high and having Taylor work down low too.

Jamil is not shooting well, but otherwise is doing OK.  Rebounding and passing well.

I admit it - I am at sea with this squad. They are the most unpredictable bunch I can remember. I thought they were dead meat - they came back.
I don't know what to expect from them.

Stop ragging on Otule.  He isn't playing bad by any stretch.  Blue and Lockett on the other hand...

Sults, this is all what HaywardHeroes does. Just rag on the whole team saying how we suck, how we are such an embarrassment, that this player is terrible.
