"I can't wait to see if Marquette can keep it going. The fact that the Golden Eagles are in first place in the Big East race is one of the more underrated story lines in college basketball right now. Think about it. Marquette lost leading scorers Darius Johnson-Odom and Jae Crowder and didn't really replace them with anything. I keep waiting for Buzz Williams' squad to take a slide, and it hasn't happened. I'm not sure any coach in America has maximized what he can get out of a team quite like Williams has this season. If Marquette wins the Big East, I may consider voting him national coach of the year over Miami's Jim Larranaga. Williams isn't working with nearly as much talent, and the Big East is a considerably tougher league than the ACC. Marquette (18-6 overall, 10-3 in the Big East) plays at Villanova on Saturday night."

Not working with nearly as much talent? Not sure about that. Though you cannot argue with undefeated in the ACC.

Other posters after the Georgetown loss would disagree with you while bemoaning the lack of talent on the roster. Not saying you are wrong, just pointing out that people are dumb.
Jason should have a talk with that bimbo Dana oneill and the senile dick vitale. She had Kevin Ollie as coach of year. Simply no. Dick talked about how crazy te BE tourney would be and listed like 8 teams. St. John's even....no MU
Buzz and the overall play for the team really is a great story. It is not that we do not have talent, it is that we do not have a slew of upper end guys. It will be fun seeing where this teams ends up in a few weeks.

this made me laugh.
Personally, I don't feel this team is accomplishing anything remarkable per se. To say it isn't very talented is flat out wrong. Buzz has never had this many returning players on his roster as this year. These are all of his guys. He has a lot of depth. Lots of length. Legitimate post presence. Variety of switchables. Why would the team not perform solidly?
I'm very pleased with the team's results, as I've been every year under Buzz - but this coaching job isn't his "best." The year he took the midgets to the NCAA was without question.

Buzz has recruited very well, year after year. Unlike the previous regime which had many misses it is his consistency in recruiting that is so very refreshing. So very refreshing, indeed.
Iona lost to Indiana State (by 1) on a few seconds on the clock layup. Tough.
