Doggydaddy wanted to see this as its own topic, so here it is. IMO, this is a pairing that only really works in small doses against certain teams. I can't picture it against Louisville or Syracuse, or any team that plays fast. MU almost has to play zone with this combination because so few teams are playing two post players at the same time. It is a nice change of pace and something interesting to make other teams spend time preparing for, but I just don't see it being even a 10 minute per game set.
Agree, it is a nice change of pace for a bit. But they cannot play together for too long. Several times yesterday while they were both on the court there were long rebounds leading to fast breaks and you could see how tired they both were running the court.

I couldn't disagree with you more. The best 5 players we have are Blue and Cadougan at guards, JWilson and Gardner at forward, and O'tule at center. We had arguably are best game against Pitt and Pitt had no answer for the zone D with the above 5. We get beat bad (Loserville) when we get killed on the boards. This group will work best against Loserville and Cuse to deal with there height advantage.

Not sure I agree with you here.
If the team is moving the ball well, much like SH was around the perimeter in the first half...Gardner on the wing is WAY TO SLOW rotating back. A team with talent perimeter shooters that can drive will lick their chops when that lineup is in.
Also, as much as people love to crap on Lockett, he is tied for second at 4.8 RPG. I think if you want to throw out a "best lineup" scenario he needs to be included (depending on the situation of the game).
