Now that saunders is gone, the scholly situation in 2008 has changed. I assume trend won't redshirt this year and DJ will play all 4 years. this means that we still have 3 additional scholarships to give for 2008 (plus the one already committed to Williams). A class of Williams, Shumpert, Ben-Eze, and Crittle would be pretty solid. I hope Crean can pull it off. Anything less will be a bit of disapointment for me.
I agree. Let's do it, Crean!
Good point - I've updated the scholarship table.

But I think your math is wrong. We only have 3 to use for 2008 (only Barro, Blackledge, and Fitz leave after this year), and Williams is using one of them. So we can still only have 3 of those guys (which would still be a great recruiting class).
Of course, this assumes Mbakwe gets qualified and uses one -- which, from all accounts seems like it will happen.

If we have anything near the year most of us are expecting this year, James will be gone too.

I stand corrected. You are right, we only have 3 if James stays. I hope Crean doesn't oversubscribe the scholarships again based on James him leaving to the NBA. It is really not fair to recruits.
Looks like we are going to have a lot of highly touted preps visiting MU over the course of the next 2 months and starting next week Tuesday. Hopefully we can land a couple.
