MU to hold open practice
In advance of his team's upcoming trip to Vancouver, British Columbia for a series of exhibition games, Marquette Golden Eagles coach Tom Crean has decided to open one of the remaining four practices to fans.
So next Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. at the Al McGuire Center, MU fans will have their earliest opportunity perhaps ever to view their team.
"I was going to practice that night anyway, with referees and scrimmage and all that kind of stuff anyway," Crean said. "Now we're going to do it for the public."
As part of the trip, MU was allotted 10 practices to use at its discretion in order to prepare. MU has already used six, and
"We're not leaving until 6:15 Friday night, so we could go Friday," said Crean. "I'm going to play that by ear. But I know we'll go Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for sure."
Admission to Tuesday night's practice is free and free parking will be available in Lot F, located across the street from the Al McGuire Center.
Expected to be among the spectators is Frank Ben-Eze, a 6-foot-10 high-school senior from Bishop O'Connell High School in Arlington, Va. who will be on his official visit to MU.

Cool - see the team in action so early in the year, and show a recruit how much support the program has. Now, if I only lived a few hours closer to Milwaukee...
