Saturday is Al McGuire Day
Marquette will hold its annual Al McGuire Day on Saturday for the DePaul game.

There is a nice feeling at two in the morning to see a beer sign. It's somewhere you can place a bet or have an affair or play a jukebox or whatever. Of all the places I know on Earth, it seems to be the most wholesome.
A team should be an extension of a coach's personality. My teams are arrogant and obnoxious.
Always loved that one BrewCity...and his teams lived up to the quote.
So, there are some alums who went to MU for 4 or 5 years in the late 60s early 70s and never saw a home loss? Wow--that is difficult to fathom. Nice work Al.
"If the waitress' ankles are dirty, you know the chili is good"
To honor Al today, I'm going to Real Chili after the game.
I know, I'm quite a fan.
If the restaurant has hot bread and gay waiters, the food is good.
PS: I saw one home loss in four years of school. See: Dwight Clay (ND) last second shot to end the longest home winning steak in the Nation (at the time) somewhere in MU hoops archives. They soon started another.
I was too young at the time and not in college but when Clay made that shot it was the first time I ever saw MU loss in Milwaukee. Sad day for a young Warrior fan and made me hate ND at early age.
