Hope MU is not with them.
Not surprising. Last news we had it appeared that the C7 had pretty much handled obtaining an exit for 2014, ND still hadn't negotiated an exit before it's 2015 exit date and was trying to use the C7 for negotiating leverage.
Form two divisions of the Big East next year and lets not play their division.

Why?
Rivalries are bad for basketball?
Beating them is too much fun?
Our guys get too distracted by the tropical climate of South Bend?
Here's the article from the SB trib.

and ESPN article. ND believes the C7 will not be able to put the new league together in time for next season.
Interesting quote by Coach Brey.
"Thank God, we have some direction," Brey said. "We will play in the Big East next year, and you know what? I'm OK with that. I've had a little buyer's remorse on this ACC and going through the league and playing in these different buildings and wondering if it's going to be the last. So that you know you're in the ACC, excuse me, in the Big East, you can start to schedule your nonleague stuff."
Saw the quote today in the Trib from Brey. Interesting how he says that he is having buyers remorse.
Some people are predicting that ND will never play a game in the ACC. Will they wind up in the Big 10,11,12,13...or another new conference yet to be formed....

Is anyone with any credibility really predicting that? I haven't seen it anywhere.
I really wish ND would find its way into BEast 2.0. The football team remains independent forever and all other sports fit absolutely perfectly with our mission. But I suspect that won't happen. There's no way that the ND leadership didn't consult (negotiate) with the C7 long before public announcements were made. Sure Tulane broke the camel's back supposedly. But these 7 ADs were talking long, long before that.

Me too. I think there is an outside shot of them pulling a TCU and heading to 2.0 (no sources, just gut). They are the ideal candidate. Solid programs in most sports, private, and history. As much as I hate ND, I want them in our conference.

I certainly would not rule this out completely.
When the ACC blows up I say. "Don't shoot.et em burn!"
