When will the decision be made about whether the C7 is breaking apart this year or not?
Seems like this would have to happen somewhat soon in order for it to happen.
Does anyone know if there's an absolute deadline on when this has to happen by?
When do schedules start getting finalized? I'd say if we past that threshold, we're in the Old Big East again next year.
Can someone provide the information on what the Big East will be next season. While I wish we could get the C7 for next year, It just doesn't seem likely.

As it stands, 18 teams. If that holds, who knows what scheduling will look like. 17 with one home-and-home? I'd guess several home-and-homes and some teams just not on the schedule since you can expect a bunch of pushback from departing teams that have to play a newcomer twice, or play three newcomers on the road and only two at home while leaving before they get the balance made up...basically they'll make sure everyone hears about their perceived slights.
At this point, it looks extremely doubtful that the C7 will break apart next year.
Next year's BE includes the 14 schools you mention plus Houston, SMU, Louisville and UCF. 18 total.
