This has been a really fun game to watch. Marquette would take a Florida-like beating against either of these two teams.

They said the same thing about Michigan in 1977. U of M finished first in both polls (AP & UPI) and was the heavy favorite to win take the ship that year. Blue was led by All Americans Phil Hubbard and Ricky Green who were complemented by Steve Grote, John Robinson, Thompson, Baxter and Staton. That was a great team. They beat Marquette in the last regular season game played at Crisler. Michigan won 69-68 and Al credited the near upset as cinching a spot in the tourney. MU had lost 7 games that year. The loss to Michigan was the last game Al ever lost. He went out a winner.
That was a pretty good game. Some one should have told the point guards there were other guys on the team at some point, though.
This was a GREAT game to watch. Craft should've gotten the foul at the end, but at the same time, he caught a huge break not getting the flagrant on the play before.
