Last trip to South Florida?
Tampa, Fla. - I only mention this because it was 75 degrees and sunny today.

I'll be in attendance! Helps that I live less than 10 mins from the Sun Dome. Hope it turns out better than last time I saw them in person (in Gainesville). GO MU!!!
I'm always leery of games in FL, seems like we usually play like crap (even if we win). Don't know if it's because the guys are in awe of the nice weather, or something else that causes them not to be mentally prepared.
Hope we just get a win down there, no hopes beyond that.

I'm not feeling too good about tomorrow's game. We barely beat them at home and I hope we don't show up with the Green Bay version of our road team.

I can only hope.

College players are conditioned to say that road trips are all business, but, of course, that's just the party line. Anyone who spends time in the uppper Midwest, like the Golden Eagles, enjoys this kind of brief respite.
It's hard to say if Marquette will be done with Big East play by next year with the other breakaway six. MU athletic director Larry Williams has hinted that it may be the year after next before the new league begins play.
But when the Golden Eagles are done with the Big East, they'll most likely be done with South Florida.
The weather is a plus and a side issue in recruiting. Marquette did a nice job with that this season by going to the Carrier Classic in Charleston, S.C., even if it was scrubbed; the Maui Invitational; and at Florida. It got the Charleston and Maui gigs off the strength of being a Sweet 16 team for two years running.
It also helps that Marquette beats on South Florida like a rented mule.
MU is 18-3 all-time against the Bulls and has won 11 of the last 12, including a 63-50 decision last week at the Bradley Center.
Meanwhile, it's a stretch to say that the University of South Florida is actually in Tampa. That's almost like saying UW-Sheboygan is in Milwaukee. OK, so I'm exaggerating, but USF is fairly far north of the city. But the wather? It's supposed to be 77 tomorrow. But the last I checked, USF, unlike the Carrier Classic, plays its games indoors."

We "barely beat them?" MU had a 10+ point lead for most of the second half.
We've always struggled in Tampa, but usually prevailed. This is the first time I've made the trip and I hope I'm not a jinx. I came down 3 years ago for the packers/bucs game. Bucs were 0 and 8, Packers lost.
8 of us going to the reception, anyone else going?

This.
Not to mention it was the Bulls' best 3-point performance of the season. Our defense would have to suck donkey for them to duplicate that.
