According to Pomeroy, MU will finish 4th behind Pitt, Cuse and Louisville, with a record of 12-6. Cincy, Georgetown, and UConn would finish at 11-7. UConn is disqualified (right?), leaving Cincy and Georgetown as our biggest competitors.
Georgetown has the week off, followed by at Rutgers on Saturday, a should win.
Cincy has a huge week. They have a game at Providence Wednesday and host Pitt on Saturday (they already beat Pitt at Pitt).
If you are wondering about ND, they have played the easiest schedule in the Big East and still play at Cuse, home to Louisville, at Providence, at Pittsburgh, home to Cincy, at Marquette and at Louisville.
And in other news, according to Pomeroy, Marquette's opponent's overall defense is ranked #1 right now. Something to think about with the offensive woes.
