Battle of the bigs shaping up.
I think they're off the mark. I really think this game will come down to Cadougan and Siva. Whichever player can control his turnovers will lead his team to victory. Siva is averaging 3.3 TPG in their past 4, 3 of them losses. Junior is averaging just 1.7 TPG in Big East play.
I think Dieng will be a big part in the game because of the blocked/altered shots. As I mentioned in an earlier post, Marquette guards really need to avoid going all the way to Dieng. There will be a block and a transition opportunity for Looeyville.
Would be great if Gardner can get Dieng in foul trouble. Not counting on that though. I really hope we try a few pull-up jumpers outside of Dieng's "block radius". I don't want to see a repeat of that blockfest we saw against Cincy 5-6 years ago.
