I can't clearly recall where this ended up last year, but I know there was some talk about keeping the [name "F" name] nickname tradition alive around Marq fandom. I used to scream out Jimmy "F------" Butler in times when he flashed his athleticism, made a hard-nosed play, or did something clutch.
With the way Juan's been going, I really think his nickname should be Juan "F" Anderson. I have certainly seen enough from him to know that no one hustles more, he is very athletic (and can look even more than he is with that length he is starting to utilize effectively), has solid shooting form/touch that will only get more refined, and is working his way into a core position on this team the right way.
Oh the days when Steve Taylor and he will be dominating fools with their inside outside high energy play. Gonna be something to behold. And the reason I am not nominating Steve for this nickname is I feel there needs to be a bit more blue collar edge factor to the person given it. Steve does fit all the same criteria, but there's just smoothness to his game that belies a Steve "F" Taylor Jr connotation. His nickname needs to be something like "Pretty", cause he's been doing things that makes me go, ooohh, that's pretty, so pretty.
Thoughts
Go Marq
I'd be good with that for Juan, I'm just picturing that two handed block in the USF game in transition, might of been a foul but "f" it ;)
I vote for "Dylan F-in Flood".
I'm all for Juan "F" Anderson.
On a side note everytime Juan makes a shot, hustles, defends, etc I yell out "Juan time, thank you". In a typical muscoop racist, best player name fashion.
On the current roster, Vander f-in' Blue has the best ring to it while Davante mf-in' Gardner also rolls off the tongue nicely when the beer's flowing.
I would be willing to allow ST Jr. to use my HS basketball nickname: The Big Pretty (BP for short). Although, I was given that nickname ironically because I was big and lumbering with an unorthodox game.
If a nickname needs to be discussed, planned, and agreed upon, it's not a nickname, its forced ridiculousness. The whole name effin name thing was stupid for Jimmy Butler, and it would be even more stupid if forced on someone else.

Navin f-in Johnson!
There was nothin wrong with Jimmy f butler, and nothing wrong with paying a little homage within the program; but I guess Juan f Anderson will just be my nickname for him, no worries

Callin' out F*ckin'? It was his idea.
JFB nonchalanting a reverse dunk in today's JS is priceless. If I could post it I would.

My 6th grade daughter had to do a speech (today actually) on someone who overcame a lot in their life to become a success. On her own she picked Jimmy Butler after hearing about his childhood. Probably a good thing I never mentioned the Jimmy F**** Butler name. I would hate to get a call from the principal at work today.
