Butler and Williams didn't always get along

Jimmy Butler didn't have to become the lastest NBA sensation for Buzz Williams to jump aboard the Butler bandwagon.

It's hard to not see the Todd Mayo parallel here (with Buzz sending Todd to South Africa for a summer).

Hopefully Todd enjoys the same kind of results.

Uh...no.  Radically different scenarios.

I think you could insert any player's name and any coach's name into this headline and it would be accurate. The coach-player relationship is, by nature, often as adversarial as it is cordial.

Not saying they're equivalent - but an unhappy player told to leave team and comes back to have great success?

I'm not drawing anything more than a hopeful parallel
