OK, I promise I won't post every time JButler is on, but as it is a national game, just wanted everyone to know.
Just had a nice little battle with meta WP, took an elbow on the chin, came right back and got a steal then dished a 3 to Nate Robinson. Nice to see.
Tip dunk followed by defensive board. Mentioned his 48 minutes vs. Memphis in OT game Saturday
Locked up Kobe so far. 8 points on 4-8 shooting at half.
They had a nice mention about Al as well and how he'd try to get in fights. Lol
Marv has mentioned Jimmy shuting down Kobe three times this half already.

Thanks for the heads up. :)
Legs, just tuned in. Good call.
Holy balls jimmy. The bulls taught him to jump
End of 3rd: Kobe 6/15 for 14 points (at least 5 on break always where JB was not guarding him). And that doesn't tell the whole story- at least 5 times, Jimmy has stopped him short on a drive and Kobe has bailed with a pass (a few times resulting in an assist for Kobe) JB has had him the whole game, and then had Metta WP when Kobe was out resting for a bit. 31 minutes, 4 assists, 6 points
Jimmy!!!
The Bulls weren't kidding when they said he was drafted to shut down Lebron.
Metta Whirrled Peas
Been dying to say that.
Coolest pro name?
What say you WC?
Stole it for the fast break dunk.
Thibs hates playing young guys so it says a lot about Jimmy with the time he is getting.
8 rebounds and 8 points. Could we see a double double?
Jimmy is leading the team in minutes.
Kobe literally hasn't touched the ball the last 6 possessions.
I cannot believe the fraud that is the FLAKERS are in this game.
JFB was given the Taco Bell play of the game for his steal and dunk.

I think you are under rating the Nazr Mohammed impact.
JFB is shutting down Kobe.
Good thing he learned solid man to man D at MARQUETTE.

Guilty since I watch about 20 minutes of NBA a year. I will have fun talking smack with the Flakers fans at work tomorrow about Jimmy, however.
2 boards away from a double double.

Should I have put that in teal? ;D
JFB has played 41 minutes with 3 to go in the game. The next closest is Boozer at 32.
Another great game by Jimmy. That turn around J was awesome! Jimmy may be MU's best recruiting tool in Chicago...
PS
Kobe is 7/21. Nice job Jimmy.
Kobe gives Scottie's wife a kiss as he gets his weak a$$ off the court. Kirk in post game interview with Sager talking Up Jimmy.

Phenomenal performance, including a dunk (that didn't count) where he absolutely exploded to the hoop. Awesome. Hit the two free throws after the foul was called on the floor.
"Most of the looks I had tonight were tough shots," Bryant said. "Some of the credit goes to the young fellow, Butler did a good defensively. A lot of that is on me and us, having to try to manufacture something 30 feet from the hoop with a low shot clock is tough."
Awesome.

Jimmy will be on the Waddle and Silvy show ESPN Radio Chicago at 11:40.

LOTS of praise for Jimmy here.

More Jimmy praise. Being humble and deflecting the nickname of "Kobe Stopper".

I think it's rather funny (and freaking awesome) that this is on the front page of ESPN. Last night was a big night for JFB in nationally televised game (I'm picturing the scene from Jerry Maguire).
Think he gets his own shoe?
Seriously - I'm really happy for JFB. And happy for Marquette B-ball. As was already pointed out, this won't hurt our Chicago recruiting. :)
Rip Hamilton said Jimmy will always pick his mind and ask him for tips he has learned about their opponent.
Rip is a big Jimmy fan.
The ESPN article stated that Jimmy's mom was at the game...thought she was completely out of the picture??
Did it mean his adoptive mom?
My favorite part of the article:
"For one, (Kobe stopper) is not my nickname..."
That's right, it's Jimmy F'n Butler!
More praise for Jimmy.
