I don't think I've ever seen even an MU opponent score only 13 in a half. The Seton Hall game was not just an ugly win on a bad night. This team has some serious offensive problems. Cinc hasn't been playing very well. We'd be getting beat by 10 by DePaul with a preformance like this. Buzz you've got find a way this group can score.

Or is it that his players have to start putting the ball in the basket?
Because they're NOT.

Shut up please.
Just to remind you ... a game is 40 minutes.

We need MU to understand this. Way to many games where we arrive for the last 30 or 20 minutes instead of all 40.

Shots weren't falling, I didn't think they looked terrible. Wilson missed some easy ones and wide open 3s.

Looked like some energy issues to me as well.

Yeah maybe, all 9 3s were good shots. Have to hit at least 3 of those.
Second Half = 50 points. Adjustment.
DODGED A BULLET in regulation.
Great halftime adjustment...or wake up call
Got the Q-Tip goin' on
Nice defense on that last play Lockett. Are you serious?
its a miracle this team is 4-1 in big east play, must improve offensive consistency if they want to do anything in the tournament this year.
Jeez, refereeing was VERY suspect 2nite
Agree with the ref comment. Why is Mayo on the floor? Misses 2 of 3 FT's, commits a stupid foul, chucks up a retarded 3 that is way off, doesnt fight through a pick and surrenders the game winner and he deserves playing time.
I'm hard on Lockett, but TM sucked mad D tonight folks. Weak effort by Mayo and looked like a tool pulling it off.
Who would you rather have on the floor, considering context? Mayo had done a nice job on Kilpatrick for 10 minutes. Dude made a play. Help defense was off, but I attribute that to guys playing out of position due to fouls and game situations. Cinci had nothing but guards and wings in. Due to matchups, we had Vander, Junior, Mayo, Juan, and Lockett in there. If JWilson hadn't fouled out, I would wager the defense looks different on the last play. Gardner has taken a knee to the ribs and played too many minutes. JWilson is out. Maybe Otule could be in at that point for help defense, but which guard/ wing could he have guarded if his guy went to a corner? Lockett's attempt at help was weak, but at least he tried. And it is difficult to play deny defense 90 feet from the basket. Kilpatrick got the in-bounds and never gave it up. Guano happens. MU avoids all of this by making shots in the first half.
Had we won, Todd would have had my SOTG vote. Completely took Kilpatrick out of the game for about 10 minutes and nearly got us the win.
Cat had 3 free throws while fouled in the act. Needed to convert all 3. Inexcusable for a shooting guard.

Not exactly sure why it is a "miracle" they are 4-1. I don't think this team is built to go deep in the tournament, but depending on the seeding, I can certainly see another S16.

Junior Cadougan 21% 3 point shooter nails a contested deep 3 against Uconn, Easily could have lost games to Georgetown and Pitt. Pretty lucky to be 4-1. Great second half adjustment against Cincy, hopefully they will ride the offensive momentum and become a more consistent offensive team.

And they easily could have beaten Cincy....not to mention Butler and UWGB.
For what it's worth we shot up Kenpom ADJO ratings after the cinci game. 50 points in the second half is the most we've had all year and we did it against the almighty zone. Now that we lost a game I don't see Buzz starting Anderson anymore. Usually he sticks with a starting squad until they lose a game so I expect JWIL to be back in the starting lineup. We need more offensive threats out there to start the game. Mayo and Gardner off the bench is plenty for the second unit.
Juan continues to start because of his energy and JWilson's proclivity for dumb fouls, but I see Mayo starting in front of Lockett.
Why do we need more offensive threats to start a game? In our five BE games, the starting five has given us early leads in four of them. Mayo is a perfect change of pace guy off the bench. There is no reason to change anything based on a poor start in one game.

It's not necessarily just based on one game as the entire first half was bad news last night. I just think it would bring more balance overall to the two squads offensively. With Lockett not being the scoring threat we thought it would be nice to have.

Yesterday everyone was bad the entire half....including Mayo.
I'm waiting for Otule to have a decent game. 1 rebound and a couple points in every game. Its obvious
he'll never be 100% again as a player, I would rather see Buzz give STaylor more minutes, hes much more
of an offensive threat.

I am waiting for our guards to get the memo that Otule can't cleanly handle a bounce pass at his feet or a no look pass, so don't do it.
Agreed on the bounce pass to CO. Our guards have to learn to pass to guys who can deliver on the pass. No offense to CO but he has trouble catching and going up strong. Great pass to wrong guy often means turnover.

Otule can't be replaced by Taylor on the defensive end.
If Taylor is ready, he will see minutes against Louisville, as both CO and DG will struggle getting up and down the floor fast enough.
