I say go Buckster, probably helps us more
Wisco just had one of their frankenstine traditionals drive the lane and slam it home like Lebron against the tanned one's team.
Was that racist?

Nah, but Bergeron did do a nice slam. Love how Dan D. said he will be an NBA player, yet Zeller is schooling him on offense.
I guess we gotta go Becky.
Becky hitting everything they throw up.
Nose bleeds at assembly are brutal, makes row X at BC look like court side seats
UW BBall....I do cheer for the football team though ONLY because we have a good family friend on the team...Gotta cheer for his draft stock ;)
I thought I was going to be rooting for IU, but while watching the game I found myself enjoying Wiscy's early success. I need a drink.
So do I. Just got done reading vcuboys post on the c7 thread.

A much better player.
If Indiana goes down to Wisconsin, it has to say something to all those pundits about "how good the Big Ten is." I mean, this is a Wisconsin team that got owned in non-conference.
Nice nose Bo. Rudolph is jealous.
Rooting for Wisconsin, because a Badger win helps us and I will never, ever root for TC.
Come on you Benedict Arnolds, you want UW to lose by 20, 30, 50 points. I'm ashamed at all the excuses given to continually root for the evil commies.

I'm actually rooting more for complete chaos in the Big 10. I'm tired of hearing how "good' they are. It's pretty clear that the conference is just as overrated this year as it is every year.

Still harboring bad memories from the early 80's.
It's amazing to think at one point in time Joey Meyer was considered a more respected coach than Rick Majerus.
Pretty damn entertaining game; always shocked by how solid wisco looks when they play anyone other than Marq...rooting for the Buckster though for sure

Exactly right.
Brusawhatever with the 3 goggles.
Poor b@stard finally got it right after watching MU do it to him for the past 4 years. ;D
Hate Dan Dakich most of all. Tirico's patience in boundless.
I'm gonna go ahead and say I hate IU more. My hatred for Tom Crean is matched by only a few and I'm not from Wisconsin. I know it's dumb, I know it's pathetic, and I know it makes me look bad, but I can't help it and plus that's why sports are fun. It's fun having teams and people to hate when MU only plays a couple times a week.
Did anyone just see rothsteins tweet? Saying crean said he thought Wisconsin was a top 10 team before the season. What a phoney.
Win over Buckster looking real good right now

Becky 10+ with 10 minutes to go. Honestly, they look really good tonight.

Good game. Shame someone has to win.
Nice, tough call,
The needs of the MU outweigh the needs of the few or the one
If I put lipstick on UW or IU they would still look ugly
This is TC offense at its best. You have Zeller, Oladipo and Wafford, who are all scorers, and Hulls and Sheehy who can both drill 3's. Yet they have no idea what they want to do on offense. And, no, I don't give Wisconsin any credit.

Why won't pigs have sex with a Wisconsin alum? There's somethings a pig wont do.
Was that racist?
Over 6 minutes w/0 a basket for UW after actually running some nice sets for the first 3/4ths. Literally can't get it inside the 3 point line.

And still no idea what to do against a Bo Ryan team. Probably because TC is starting too many traditionals.
Bruise a witz is Ajax, but I hope he keeps this up the last 53 seconds.
Or a jag.
Marquette out toughed them (UW), yes we did
Dakich: "Marquette out-toughed 'em (Bucky)".
Bucky winner
Lots of MU mentions how we beat Becky tonight.
Nice win Bucky. And lots of positive MU references during the broadcast.
I would love to see a chart of where CZ received the ball in the 2d half. Maybe 1 low post touch, but I don't think he got any. Absolutely no will to get the ball inside. Why would any big man play for Tom Crean? MU makes much more of an effort to get the ball inside to Otule. I can't believe TC can still piss me off this much.

Made watching Crean and his overrated squad get punked in their own gym that much sweeter!
I'm stunned Wisconsin won at Indiana. I don't hate Bucky like some on this board, but IMO they are a NIT team. Indiana should not be losing a game like this. If Zeller leaves after this year and IU doesn't find itself in the FF Creans "popularity" in Bloomington will plummet...mostly because people only pretend to like the guy anyway.

Yeah, makes sense to hate the guy that resurrected our program, got MU to a final four, and recruited some of the best players in history.
He left. We got a great coach to replace him. I think it is time people got over it.

And now we compete with him for recruits. He coaches at the traditional power in the Midwest. Plus, if he flames out at IU, that means Buzz will have watched Crean AND Billy Clyde bite the big one at two traditional powers. I have to believe that would make him think LONG and hard about leaving a good thing at MU. Thanks for what you did for us Tommy, but now your failure is a good thing for MU, and that's all I care about.
Regarding the title of this thread, I hate UW more - but was glad to see the outcome of tonight's game.
Now I can go back to hating Bucky again.
Not a big Tom Crean fan for the classless way he left Marquette. Otherwise could care less about Indiana.
Wisconsin natives care much, much more about the Marquette - Wisconsin rivalry than the rest of us.
Ah, the Crean tradition of getting the team to peak in the non-conference continues.
Edit, fun fact from ESPN...
Wisconsin has won 11 straight games vs Indiana, tied for the 2nd-longest win streak all-time by an opponent vs Indiana.
Longest Win Streak by Opponent vs Indiana - All-Time
1908-14 Purdue 12
2008-13 Wisconsin 11*
1912-19 Wisconsin 11
1929-35 Purdue 9
1901-05 Purdue 9
*active streak
Who do I hate more? Well, Indiana isn't our rival, isn't in our state, recruits very few of the same athletes and has no history with Marquette except for a coach who did a great job helping restore the MU basketball brand.
Like many here, I didn't especially like the way Crean left MU. But it's hard for me to blame him for leaving and I'm grateful that he hired the guy who eventually replaced him -- a guy I consider a better coach.
So I've got absolutely nothing against Indiana.
Wisconsin is a whole 'nother story. Hate 'em. Hate ND even more.
Wisky will forever stink.
But there is a tip of my hat to whenever they polish off a top 25 team and/or IU, especially when we have a W on them from a previous game.
BTW...
From Hoosier Scoop:
"If you've ever seen the Dasani water bottle Tom Crean has on the sideline during games, you've noticed that the liquid in it is not the color of water.
It's orange.
A caller on Crean's radio show asked him about it on Monday night, and Crean confirmed that he is, in fact, putting another product in a Dasani bottle.
"I don't drink, so it's not Jack Daniels," Crean said. "It's actually a product called 'Liftoff.' It's got an energy part to it. There's no sugar in it. I've been drinking it the last couple of years, sometimes during the day but usually during the games. No offense to Coke, I love Coke products, (it should be noted here that Indiana has a deal with Coke) but I try to stay off those things during the games because I'd go through about eight Diet Cokes and I don't want to do that."
According to its home page, Liftoff is actually a tablet you combine with water. It claims to have zero sugar and zero calories, though it does contain 75 mg of caffeine. It also claims to "help fight mental and physical fatigue," "enhance focus and concentration" and "improve short term memory."
So just in case you were wondering how any man could have that much energy, well, he does have some help."
Tough call. IU has broken my heart a couple of times and UW is UW. Probably have to go with UW because play them every year and recruiting battles.

This exactly.
Except I hate UW more than ND. Not by much, but a little more because everyone I seem to be surrounded by is a Bucky fan.
I grew up in Indiana as a Purdue fan so I have hated IU since as long as I can remember. Crean going to IU just gave me one more reason to hat them. So it doesn't matter who they play I will never in my life root for IU that 6-20 something season they had a couple years ago made me so happy.
Hate them equally. We play UW so I will cheer for them to improve our resume for tourney time. That said, I make fun of my Bucky fan friends at every opportunity.
I want Crean to lose more than I want UW to lose.
I hate Wisconsin more than IU but I hate Crean WAY more than I hate Wisconsin

But I will still hate IU long afer Crean is gone. IU/Purdue rivalry is huge, just doesn't get the national attention of Duke/UNC. Plus Keady and Knight being gone made it not as lively and the sideline chairs were a little safer.

At least he could beat Wisconsin/Bo Ryan at Marquette.
Also, Marquette has been the more successful program since Crean has left for IIII. Not so sure it won't stay that way until Buzz leaves Marquette and/or Crean leaves IU. Sure, IU has more hype this year, but why? They made it to the Sweet 16 last year, so let's rank them...first? That makes a lot of sense... ::) While they are a good team, they are also incredibly overrated.
