Not to many teams can play 10 deep. First, off glad to Todd Mayo back, big difference than having to play the walk-on. Secondly, you can see why Derrick Wilson might be a better
player in many respects over Cadougan, does not turn the ball over. Third, nice to get Juan involved in the offense and scored 8, huge, Four, Trent Lockett is a warrior, played tough,
defended, and Finally, Vander Blue, most impressive game of his career. Only made a few stupid drives but more importantly had a few nice assists and finished most of his drives. Really
a team victory. I thought Pitt was better, but give MU credit, a great victory that will help them with Joe Lunardi, he was there. Three good victories against the middle teams. Who
knows, MU could start out 7-0, and that would be amazing!

The last 4 games have been team victories. Other than end of game brainfarts, our defense has been stellar the last 3 games. Buzz is switching between man and zone defenses and really slowing the other team down. 9 guys scored today. 9 guys had a rebound today. IIRC, 7 had an assist today. MU has switchables with length. If two of the interchangeable parts of this team were elite shooters, this team could do some serious damage. But this is definitely the deepest, most versatile MU team I can remember.
Best part about this win was that assuming we can take care of business at home against SHU and Prov(both are not terrible by any means) the Cincy game is no a lot less pressure filled. Cincy has struggled at home and will be tough to get them to lose a 4th but we have a quality road win now so that game becomes a little more "gravy".
Guys can't let up now though in games they should win coming up. It'll be huge if we take care of business and get a comfy lead on the teams we are fighting with for 3-7 in conference.
It was a great team victory. This is the most depth of any Marquette team - 11 deep counting Steve Taylor Jr. We shot well - played great defense - and the players have the experience to play smart. This team is coming into its own and should go a long way.
10 deep, Jake Thomas is 11 and Ferguson is 12

Beth Mowins math.
Yeah the team is really shaping up to be another great Warrior squad. After UWGB admittedly I too was a bit skeptical about conference play, but one big thing these last few games is our ability to close out and win games. That was always a nightmare in the past. It's a really collective effort this year since we don't have any true go-to guys.
It was great seeing Juan hit those early threes, DWilson play solid ball, Vander dominating on offense, DG a beast in the post, Jamil knocking down the mid-range, etc. We will be losing Junior, Chris and Trent but imagine where the others will be next year plus I think a few of our incoming players will make an impact.
