Looks like 100.5 FM still has it. I think they switched the AM feed already.
Buzz is one weird guy.
He's our weird guy, loves his kids and I think they love him too.....he needs a throat lozenge/hot tea
Its apparent that Dwight buycks turnover vs louisville still haunts Buzz. He's brought it up multiple times now.

How could you ever forget that one? Still stings me to think about.
The one thing you should note, if you are one of the people arguing that Duane Wilson will start at point next year, is Buzz flat out said in this interview that Derrick should be the starting point guard this year, but he will not take that away from Cadougan. Buzz then followed that up by saying he has told Derrick he is the starting point next year, even if there are more talented players coming in.
It wasn't a turnover by Buycks, it was an ill-advised blown layup
This Board is a lot of middle-aged white guys. The way you talk to us to motivate us and the way you talk to a bunch of 19 to 21 year old D1 basketball players to motivate is very different. So we may say "Buzz is weird" but I'm sure what motivates us is "weird" to D1 basketball players.
What did Buzz say - something like we're not any good, but that doesn't mean we have to go out there and get our brains beat in. Love it.
Did I also hear Buzz right that the reason Junior did not play the second half is because his mother Jamie told Buzz "he will not tell you but he cannot play." How many coaches make a decision based on that?
Buzz also said he did not know what was wrong with Junior.

No truer words have been spoken. I don't care if you are as weird as Bill Lee, if you motivate and foster what Buzz fosters and gets out of his players, you're doing it right.

Buzz is one weird guy.
I will always take weird over normal. Normal is boring. Like white bread, light beer and missionary.

The parents trust him first, and he does not want to lose that. It is his way.

I'm pretty sure he was talking about Jamie McNeilly

Is that the same as baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and lemonade?

This. It was Jamie not his mother.
Most players on this and prior Buzz squads would go into a burning house if he said so. That's why he can talk about the bonehead plays at the end of regulation and then just ask the guys 'What's next men?' We need to remember that for some of these guys Buzz IS the father figure. And as he says constantly, his job is to make them responsible adults. That approach has regularly manifested itself on the court. Character revealed.

Yeah, I don't think it was his mother and even so he still put Junior in......
FYI, I'm far from middle-aged.

My thoughts exactly. Buzz is perfect for MU.

Phew, because his mom's name is Suzette.
