Here we go.  Oh God, they just showed Patrick Young rejecting Jake.  Bad memories.  And then Crean picking up his gum from the floor and putting it back in his mouth. Oye.

Instead of chanting "automatic," the student section should be chanting "USA."  I just feel that a little bit of jingoism is the new "god was with our team over their team."

Unfortunately, I don't think we will ever NOT see that.  It's gonna get worse in March before it gets better.

Strange game.  Buzz subbing like a maniac....

MU up even though Lockett has not taken a shot and J. Wilson sat most of first half with two fouls.

Pitt has missed a boatload of free throws to help out.

Cut down on turnovers and hope the great shooting continues.

When the favored team loses their best player three minutes into the game, all bets are off.

Mind you, even without Woodall Pitt is in very good shape to take the second half handily.

We gotta keep hitting shots in the 2nd half.  Simple as that.  The shooting % was rare and that's what kept us going.  I like Juan hitting those open threes. Vander, Todd and Jamil have one too.  It will be nice to have Jamil back for the second to get some more length.

Cause MU not hitting the threes now.  0 for 6 in half.  Thats the difference.
I feel they were more contested this half. Jamil's 2 3's were fadeaways late in the shot clock.

Or.  Maybe.  Not.

Frustrating!! Pitt has hit big shots just when MU has had a chance to finish them. Big possession here. Jamil hits another 15 fter to put them up 6, they will get a stop, another bucket and ball game! Finally.

My prediction.

K, those of you who typed up postgame rants, please hit "Post" and let us see them.   :D

You can break down lackluster home performances, but you take any road win in the BE, by 1 or by 50.  Missing our most important piece as well - excellent.  The usual Big East "middle" is starting to take shape, and it's very nice to be on top of it.

The last play of regulation, Dixon made a nice move by subbing in an extra 3 pt shooter.   Buzz should have countersubbed in for Gardner, but did not.   Somehow, switches were not made and nobody went to the shooter at the top of the key, while MU had 4 guys under the basket.

That play at the end of regulation is on Lockett.  If you watch the play again you'll see DWill signaling for Lockett to come out....of course he doesn't and DWill has too much ground to cover.
