If I were a Bucks fan, I would choose to believe Jimmy's response is the kind of answer Monta Ellis meant to give for the DWade comparison issue discussed in the other thread.

All Ellis is doin' is tootin' his own horn for the max contract he wants after the season. And some idiot GM will likely award it to him

Butler is classy... and to think he came from a junior college!

JFB has some pretty big plays in this game last night.  Big turn around jumper to end the half and put the Bulls up by a point, a three point play where he shot-faked DWade, and then late in the fourth with the game in the balance, he missed a long jumper, followed his shot and got the rebound, was swarmed in the lane, and dished off to Boozer for the dunk that essentially put the game away.

Doesn't this article insult the rest of the team and most of the league?   The 30th pick in the draft is supposed to shut down one of the greatest players ever in his prime, but apparently no one else can.  If Jimmy could really shutdown The King, then the rest of the league should be easy.  If he has these tools, why slide 30 spots in the draft?  Why not start?

I thought defense was important in the NBA.  Apparently not.

This is a better article about how defense is important in the NBA and how the Bulls team defense, execution and scheme beat the Heat last night.  Jimmy Butler King Slayer I would say is a nice myth.  When I was watching in the 4th quarter, JFB would start on Wade in half court sets, not LeBron.  Deng makes way more sense on LeBron anyway.  More height muscle to match up physically.  I would say better LeBron stoppers have also included Paul Pierce, Matrix, and the Prince (also a second round pick).  Paul Pierce and Matrix also were more successful against LeBron within better team defensive schemes.  I would say yes, defense is important in the NBA.  So is offense, and MU fans know how painful it feels when you look at the 5 on the floor and ask, who is out there who is capable of scoring.  The initial onus is on the offense.  That is why offensive players get drafted before primarily defensive players.
