Title: SOTG
Post by: Lighthouse 84 on January 01, 2013, 09:25:03 PM
Junior. On so many levels.

Good to see Jamil finally do something too.

I know it can't be for a loss but Napier is an f-ing stud.

Junior all day.

As dude said above, Napier is nassssssty.

I was ready to write Lockett off for all the point-blank misses, but he's not Gardner, he doesn't buckets, but he hustles like no other!

But yeah, Junior.

Junior all the way.  But great defense and clutch free throws by Lockett.

Junior does need to work on his post-game interviews though... hahahaha.  ;D

Obvious Junior.  The shot, the points, and expected to coach from the floor more than usual.

Great game from Davante as well, but Junior wins with his balls of steel.

Davante played huge. 10/10 from the line was ridiculous. Also big on the boards and some of the best defense he's played. Really worked hard to keep UConn's bigs in foul trouble.

But gotta be Junior. That three was huge and his drives were excellent. Also managed his turnovers, which as I mentioned the other day is huge for our Big East success.

Another vote for Junior. We were 0-14 from three at that point. Wow.

Junior was great, and I agree he should be SOTG. However, I think Davante had a great game and deserves some credit. When your big man shoots 10-10 from the FT line (and I think he was 9-9 against NCC), that's pretty impressive.

Junior.  And while 'The Shot' will be on highlight reels for years, I'll give him props for game management and lack of turnovers.  THAT is how we'll win this year.

Hats off to Napier.  Down the stretch we did everything we could do to stop him and he'd have none of it affect him.  Helluva player.
