Question:
In the first round of te CBE, would would you cheer for?
Option 1: Duke
votes: 15
Option 2: Air Force
votes: 5
OK, so I'm in KC, it's nearly 2am, I had a red bull a little while ago, and the beer chasers aren't making me sleepy yet :P
Anyhow, I just questioned who I would be rooting for tomorrow. On one hand, I always like to root against Duke. On the other hand, I really want to play them after we beat Texas Tech tomorrow. So...I guess I should cheer for them at the game? That's hard to do, maybe I'll just be silent through the whole first game.
What would you do?
While getting to the championship is the most important thing, playing Duke is second. Major RPI booster.
I want Duke. Beating Duke on national TV would be great for this program. And in the unlikely event that we lose to Duke, we'd still have the RPI boost.
I completely agree...a great opportunity to play Duke on national television and even if you lose losing to Duke is not the worst thing in the world...with all that said I voted for Air Force....I could never "root" fro Duke so i must vote Air force.
Definately Duke. A win boosts your resume a ton, and a loss is a "good loss". Playing Air Force is like kissing your sister. :-*
I happen to enjoy kissing your sister.
Kidding, but definately want a shot at Duke. If we could beat them, it would be interesting to see if any other team in the country has beat Duke, UConn, and Kentucky in the past 5 years.
I'll root for duke but I'll be bringing my toothbrush to use afterwards...
ugh.. can't believe I said that..
I usually LOVE to watch duke play (they seem to be one of the few teams that consistently play like a TEAM - coack K is good for that I suppose) but I also LOVE to watch them lose (only because one team should NOT be allowed to have that much success). Hrm.. I think I need another shower now. :(
Duke all the way... but I root for them all the time, except of course if they play MU ;)
I want Duke. We might not win but it would be beneficial to play against one of the best programs of the last 2 decades. Having a win against Duke on a tourny resume is huge.
