Title: Interesting quotes from MU players in Durahm NC newspaper
Post by: real chili 83 on December 29, 2012, 08:48:23 PM
This is an AP story, reported in the local paper for UNCC's hometown.  Interesting quotes from our team.

Not bagging on Mike Hunt.....just wondering why these weren't in his article.

Edit...just saw Hunt's article, not just his blog, as it was just posted.  He has some decent quotes too.

Knowing MU's offensive woes, these words from NCC's HC should ring familiar and true:

North Carolina Central coach LeVelle Moton said the game was a learning experience for his team.
"We've got to learn, against bigger opponents, the margin of error is zero," he said. "When it was (tied late) and we didn't execute, it forced us to have a bad possession. They came down and got an easy look."

Earlier someone started a thread about who would develop into this team's leader(s).  Based on a quote from Buzz that's still an issue, but at least some are trying.

"Williams was frustrated by the turnovers, saying many of them were players "trying to be the hero."'

I'm guessing that that might be the source of some/a lot of Junior's turnovers this season.

When your best offensive options are two of your least efficient players you're in trouble. The back court is brutal.
