House/dog sitting at someone's place and they have DirecTV.  Just as the game started they blacked out SNY.  Does anybody have DirecTV in Milwaukee and know if the game is on another channel/what channel it is on?  Thanks in advance.

Other than the 2 back door cuts, nice start.  Seems like they really spread things out and way back, and look for cutters when MU plays the man.  Chili, keep it going... I'll be checking in on the time outs, as I'm watching on the iPad...

Junior going to the floor.  Nice effort.

Too many open 3s.  Like Juan's offensive activity.  Junior just took the 3 instead of passing to a wide open Jake.  Telling.

I have no feel for this team.  There are times it looks like a 10th to 12th place Big East team. Other times I think they might get as high as 5th or 6th.

Not all that much difference between 10-8, 9-9 and 8-10.

Jamil can be the difference between 11th place and 5th place. Unfortunately he hasn't done much today.

MU up 43-31 with two minutes to go in half.  MU has 3 turnovers and scores nothing, NC Central closes with six points.  Very sloppy closing. This should be a 25 point blowout game, maybe it still will, but.....

If announcers say Lockett due for break-out again, jeeez.  The guy just hasn't done much.

J. Wilson has 0 points, one rebound and two turnovers.  What has happened to him?

MU has 10 turnovers.

Blue and Junior are so much faster than NCC players.  Mayo looked good and his minutes go up, Lockett's go down.

Buzz makes some adjustments, turnovers go down and MU should cruise in second half.

Don't ya love the Devante shooting the technical fouls and of course, nothing but net.
Or how about the nifty no look pass down low to the cutting Blue.
He is unique and its good that the big man plays big today especially for St. Jerome.

Other than a six-minute stretch in Green Bay, Jamil has looked disinterested pretty much all season. Nice block in final minute of half, though.

Krause and MacIlvaine just spent 2 minutes talking about NCC players have names *like* NBA players....but aren't actually related to them.

They sound bored too.

Dang, some of Blue's shots are equivalent to turnovers.

And I was wrong about Davante after watching him in the summer league.   Kid has stepped up big time!

God this team is so frustrating.   This team has no motivation for these games.

Wilson just made another offensive foul.  NCC can now tie it.

Buzz is sure subbing today at a pace I have not seen in awhile.  He just had Junior and D. Wilson in at same time.  How can they play consistent with all the constant changes?

Fortunately Providence lost to Brown yesterday and there are a few others that have been big eye openers.  We just seem to walk through the motions in too many games.  I've been concerned since the SELA game and to this day I'm not sure we have looked like a NCAA team against anyone.  Wisconsin played one of their worst games of the year against us and they aren't particularly good to begin with.  LSU, jury is out.  I don't know, maybe one of those years.

SOTG:  Mayo.  Kept his head, including at end when he didn't force it with minute left.  Leading rebounder and one of the leading scorers.

Agree. Outside of Jamil ( that's becoming a familiar refrain) we played very well against Butler. Took a lucky shot to beat us.

Yeah, the Butler game looks the best, though I thought Butler played pretty average that game by their standards.  I don't know if we played well, they played average, or a combination of all the above.

So MU shoots 60% from the field, 45.5% from 3pt, and 81.5% from the line and they still have a tough time winning?  I guess all of that gets negated pretty easily with 20 TO's.

Really surprised with this level of struggle from Wilson.  Needs to at least board and defend average at BE level.

Hopefully Steve Taylor can elevate his game on a fast track.

Also does Otule suck or is he injured, why no pt?

Otule actually played the first six minutes of the game, then sporadic minutes after for a total of 13.  He is just not the player he once was, which was just more than a defensive big.

When you saw Taylor in for Wilson at the end of the game, it might have been a sign of things to come.

Loved that strong move to the bucket that Taylor made in 2nd half.

I'm utterly shocked with Wilson's play so far. I thought he was the most likely to break out this year.  Especially playing these 2-3 zones, you would think he'd be great at sitting right on the free throw line and either taking the shot or putting the ball on the floor.

Marquette plays down to the level of competition. It happens every year. This year its more noticeable because this team has no alpha-dog scorer like we have had in the past. Vander and Junior really score based off of the team. The fact that we were able to grind out the win is more of a positive then a negative. Not always a bad thing to get some heat from a poor team before facing a better team (UConn)

Not really anyone for Chris to guard in a game like this. NCC played 5 perimeter guys the whole game.
