If Buzz and Kevin Ollie both left their jobs after this season, the MU job is by far more attractive from a standpoint of NCAA infractions as well as conference setup. I would not have said that four years ago.
I dont understand the significance of this topic...
But while we are on subject about UConn vs MU, we will have our hands full without Buzz on Jan 1st

At least Jerry Wainwright has head coaching experience perhaps a slight advantage.

You really hit a sour note there, Piper. Unkink the Boxers and try again. Wainwright at the helm is not an advantage.

JW has been a good coach. Just could not recruit at DePaul....
JW will do okay. He won't be on the sideline but hopefully have them ready. My bigger concern is stopping that guard combo.

+1. Xs and Os... Jerry is one of the best in the game.

why do you think Buzz has JW on his staff? after answering that question to yourself, remove your the above quote and think before you type.

I stand by my statement. Wainwright could recruit - he was brought in because of his connections within the CPL. He was a terrible in-game coach. Ask any DePaul alum for their opinion.
BTW, who are you to tell anyone what or how to think?

OK, and ask any Wilmington or Richmond alum/fan about Jerry. He was successful at both stops. I assure you he didn't forget how to coach.
Recruiting Chicago is difficult and dirty. I don't think Jerry was prepared for that. Coaching, he's fine.
How many of our conference games with UConn have been played with one team missing its head coach? Is this going to be #4 or #5?

Look, the guy has forgotten more about buckets than I ever knew. Still, there is a reason things didn't work out at DePaul and a lot of it had to do with his coaching rather than his recruiting.
UNC - W and Richmond?? A lot of guys hit .300 in the minors only to whiff in the bigs. JW went one rung too high.

How about proofreading before you hit post?? Hopefully not a MU grad with that sentence.....

The last person I would ask anything about DePaul basketball would be a DePaul alum.

Umm how do you figure? The guy was a terrible recruiter, and he couldn't sell Depaul's program but hell nobody can as long as they're at the Allstate Arena and have a student section that is smaller than most college parties.
