My top 25 ballot

After the LSU game Saturday, a Louisiana writer told me some web site had been ripping both of us for our AP top 25 college basketball ballots.

Maybe this is why you are getting ripped jackass:

QuoteThe ballots are due each Sunday night and I typically don't give mine a lot of thought until the time I spend trying to make sure I write down 25 teams without duplication

"Some web site" would be CBS Sports; Gary Parrish's "Poll Attacks" featured Hunt three weeks in a row for having a "silly" ballot.  Yeah, Hunt doesn't care, yeah one or two of the three ballots had some silliness.

The way Hunt writes his articles makes me seriously doubt that he enjoys any part of his job

Couldn't agree more.  I just don't get Mike Hunt. It's as if he is waiting to be called out by those in know just so he can shout from the mountain top that he never cared anyway.

Whacked.

I've really enjoyed Mike's work.  He's been on top of every story since taking over the beat while maintaining the perspective that this isn't as important as Arab/Israeli relations or the looming 'fiscal cliff'.

Frankly, I find his relaxed approach a refreshing change from some of the ridiculous multi-page arguments over inane topics that sometimes occur right here on Scoop.

If your not going to put any thought into it, why accept when they ask you to be a voter?

Bad news is good news.

"Silly ballots" get Mike's name tossed out there.

If bad notoriety is to be avoided, Skip Bayless wouldn't be where he is today.
