Geaux Warriors. Lets have our way with the LSU hairy wept cats today.
Chicos, excellent recon the the famous LSU alum pictures this morning.
I hope Buzz was watching Templr attack Syracuse zone, flash someone to the foul line

Lockett steal and assist for a basket. It's the little things. This is what Buzz sees every day in practice.
Nice start!
Too bad this team didn't go to Green Bay.
Nice start
Todd!!
Not wasting time with mayo
A TO and missed 3 from Mayo so far but I like his aggressiveness.
Derrick w 2 blow-by drives in a row. Very nice.
Thomas hits one. Please be the start of something.
Thomas. Break out game. Book it. ;D
I like Lockett today.
Could equal uwgb point total in 1st half.
For a team that does not shoot very well Marquette takes way too many 3 point shots.

I like Lockett today.
Playing smart, rebounding, D and hits a couple of shots. What we hoped for.
Nice pass by JWil after Todd passes on open look 3
Legs, think you and I can get this thread to three pages today? ;)
I'm gonna start drinking!
Seems like we took the foot off the gas a bit. I say put the petal to the metal.
Got it covered, Chili (may bring me to All American status!). Surprised so few posters when nobody reminded them about game chat. ;)
And Let's keep the lead at 15 for the half.
Beat you to the booze, chili. Founders Breakfast Stout.
Who's the color girl today? Dressed in that shiny shirt like she's going clubbin post-game.
Sloppy possession off the time out
Worked that time but I hate when Sheesh swats at the ball from behind
Lost focus and aggressiveness the last few minutes
Poor finish to the half...seemed to lose their energy. Weird that back to back opponents have 7 footers to anchor their baseline D in the zone against Marquette.
I suspect, this will be a game in the second half unless we've learned to play two consistent halves
Agreed.
Second half will be difficult cause Mrs. chili is on her broomstick cleaning the house in advance of 25 family on her side showing up. Will need to be mora stealth when refilling the cocktail.

I have the same issues with Mrs. CA. She is not a fan of:
1. Day drinking
2. #MUBB
3. Sports in general
And she LOVES to clean. So I have to contend with the vacuum drowning out the live stream.
The 3 of us have way too much in common.
Wife called from shopping and asked about score. Told her it was only first half and we would lose big lead in second

The 3 of us need to find a bar to hide at in MKE.
I'm sure we'd fit in perfectly at Ardmore/Big Shots/Caffreys these days...
Maybe on parents weekend.
Right behind buzz, woman drinking out of a thermos. Probably chicken soup. I love mke.
To top it off, the MIL just walked in. And the lead is 3
Around 7 points in 10 minutes. Get the crowd back. Drive the hoop with purpose. And cover Hickey.

Jr huge.
WE SHOULD NOT BE IN THIS POSITION

Maybe on "Community"!
Mrs Kong is doing yoga so doesn't give a rip if I watch the game. Speaking of, cmon MU get her heads together.
No one on this team can hit consistently from outside three feet.

Yeah, I totally have the Joel McHale thing going on. Just enough scruff and the "I care but I don't want to look like I care" look.
Seriously have to rethink the earlier high expectations for this squad. There's only so many times one can say "it's only one game."
2-for-16 on threes.
Jr again
Bad shot by Jamil but I like the hustle to get the ball back. Still don't understand his inconsistency.
Are there any consistent shooters on this team?
Other than that shot from the elbow, where it seems he is at around 80%. But otherwise agreed

2-for-16 on threes.
Blue 0-3, Cadougan 0-2, Mayo 0-4.
And once again looking bad out of a time out.
Nd there's page 3, Chili. ;D
horrible, horrible play after the last time out.
Lazy pass, huge break
Another bad pass
Turnover city
Biggest difference this year is that most games the opponents simply outhustle and outwork Marquette - first time I've seen that with Buzz's teams.
Why is wilson coming out after 4 point play?

I don't understand that either. He seems tob be one of the few guys that can hit 1 out of 3 shots.

People rag on Junior, but when others control the ball or try to initiate offense it seems like it is a guaranteed TO. Junior having a great game.

Norm. I'm worried. You seem depressed.
Get Thomas off the floor. He hits more iron than a blacksmith.
Marquette has taken 21 3-point shots today....why????

Start drinking Norm.
Someone must be coaching them to take it. But I don't know why. I guess they are taking what is given. But you are right, they are a very poor shooting team. Now I am depressed.
Anyone else want together one of those ReverseApals? Maybe with Bleuteaux on the inside?

Just opened a nice Bells Christmas Ale...hope that calms me down.
Huge 3 by Junior, and big drive by Vander.
No more easy buckets for them on the O-boards now....

I'm a jr fan, but that is the first/last time he will be compared to Kobe

Reverse Bleuteaux to create a brick.
As of this writing ... Jake Thomas is 9 for 39 (23%) from 3 point land this season. 1 - 4 this game.

good choice! That and a 10 point lead should do the trick. Oops, 7 point lead. Reach for the bourbon.
This game has forced me to go to the garage and sneak into the emergency man cave supply.
I view myself in this thread as some view Hunt. Just trying to get more looks. If only I had a pay wall.

Same here. He also has an amazing ability to have some of the most embarrassing turnovers where it seems like he suddenly has no hands and the ball just flies out of bounds.
A little more nervous? She crazy.
OX. YES
Uh why did blue drive that? We didn't need another bucket.
Vander's layup attempt reminds me of McNeal.

DG has 5 steals!?!
Chili, I enjoyed being part of your club today. Merry Christmas to all!! Go Marquette and, in honor of Chili, ND sucks. ;D
And she just said Big Smoove.
Now a " BIG SMOOVE" reference!
Do we even practice free throws? Did you see that one vander missed? We only shot 96%.
Buzz's FT practice really paid off today. The FT coach should be SOTG!
Well, the Bell's Christmas Ale did the trick. Thanks for putting up with me on the board today... Merry Christmas everybody!
Phew.
Merry Chrismas all.
Lowest basketball iq team since Buzz has been coach? I think so. Why are we attacking the basket with a minute left? Frustrating.

Something to that. JWilson's dumb passes. Blue falling in love with the long inbounds pass. After demonstrating perfectly how to beat a zone for 15 minutes, forgetting how to for the next 15 minutes. I don't mind them attacking the basket. I just want them to make their lay ups. What is the point of beating the zone when Lockett and Blue miss lay ups? If they go in, Buzz looks like a genius, much like Jake's shot against GB.
Much smarter to eat clock and have them foul you. I kept having flashbacks to Dwight Buycks doing the same thing against Louisville two years ago.

Would've lost without Blue and Jamil, too. Gardner owned the end of the game and made the biggest hoops and clinching FTs, IMO.

Junior's buckets were the biggest hoops of the game. We needed points and nobody would step up. The biggest one was early in the shot clock, pick and roll he just basically said I got this and drilled a 3.
That was right after another big bucket by him.
That put the momentum back with MU and imo won us the game.
