Probably a question for prediction board, but what do you think?
Not at all sure. If he does, I'm guessing it will be sparingly. I think it might be mid-January before he sees significant minutes. Just a gut feeling, but I don't think he'll be thrown in for 25 mpg off the bat like some seem to think.
Sparingly against LSU, 15+ in the next game, starting in 3 weeks.
He'll play. Gotta get in some ball before conference games. BTW, if there's one thing Buzz isn't, it's stupid. Life's lessons are all fine and good and is music to the alum's ears, but his payroll checks are signed by Padre P and Buzz doesn't want to be on the outside with his shnoz pressin' a ham against the glass.

This.
No doubt he plays. We need him and he needs to get in playing shape quickly. Buzz knows we need scoring help and will push the envelope with Todd.
I actually don't know why he *wouldn't* play...in fact I think he gets pretty good minutes.

Sounds about right.

Mom came in and he was read the riot act. Message received and now is to time to see what he"s got.
Better question. If he plays tomorrow, and plays reasonably well, should Buzz have reinstated him for UWGB? He could have been the difference maker that gave us a win.
Buzz would like to play him but "we will have to see"

In a word, no.

Good find.
I'm looking forward to seeing Mayo back. Hopefully he gets up to speed quickly!

In a word, why? No reason to deeply discuss what is the past, but it is hard to ignore the fact that having Todd in that game would have hurt MU's chance of taking home a W.

As you mention, it's now irrelevant because it's in the past.
But to your point, it's the difference of coaching a game and coaching a season. That's a big part of why Buzz is such a good coach. He always has his eye on the bigger prize. Rushing Mayo back to the team would have smacked of desperation, and would have sent a message to the team that Todd is being given his place back rather than earning it back.
With all the past reports regarding chemistry and how Todd struggled to fit in last year, I'm guessing there's a bit of truth to it. Where there's smoke, and all. Todd has to prove to Buzz and his teammates that he really wants to be there and is dedicated to the team. Hopefully Thursday's meeting was the second step in him doing that (getting his grades the first). Had Buzz rushed that, he would have risked losing a lot more than a game, he would have risked losing his team.
I think the prospect of him joining the team was hanging over the team against GB and contributed to our loss. He will obviously take playing time from someone.

Please explain how a player returning after a 10 game absence is a bad thing?
I started thought as I was thinking how anemic the offense was in the second half (16 points). You cannot help but think a scorer/shooter would have made a big difference in that half ... assuming he was not so rusty that he was ineffective. That said, we'll see how rusty he is real soon (probably tomorrow).

So one win is more important to you than the integrity of the program? Shame on you.
Why don't you just cheer for wherever Calipari and Bruce Pearl coach? Unfortunately, you'll have to wait awhile until the NCAA reinstates Kelvin Sampson, but then you'll have another coach to cheer on.
Can't wait to watch Mayo play. We need him badly based on what we've seen so far. Mayo is a scoring threat and will make the team much better.

Hopefully someone who can't put the ball in the basket.

So, pretty much anyone.
