Title: JaJuan Johnson Interview
Post by: Abode4life on December 20, 2012, 09:56:38 AM
Saw this on ESPN.  It might be an insider video.

He talked about Buzz's recruitment, not much new.  He was also asked about MU coming late in the process and how he decided to go with us.  JaJuan mentioned being in a basketball town and the other final three schools being football towns.  Also talked about his relationship with other players but nothing ground shattering.

A recruiting pipeline in Memphis would be awesome!

Dave Telep: "You're the outsider of the group; you're the only guy without a Wisconsin driver's license coming into the recruiting class."

Can John Dawson possibly be any more under the radar?

Kid definitely is a little mic-shy. Messed up on Deonte and Duane's names and every interview I see with him he seems flustered. But, as long as he can shoot, I could give a rat's ass how he interviews.

After last night's low scoring game, it makes you excited knowing that we'll have a lot of high powered offensive scorers on next year's team!

Agreed--and a point who won't throw a chest pass 5 rows deep into the stands.

Get him in MU's Communications school and let's see how he sounds in 4 years.

yeah, but at the BMO BC that would have only been 3 rows deep.

Seems like a good kid. This interview was definitely better than another one I saw where he was being interviewed outside.  Here's a new highlight reel I came across posted last month.  Figured some of you haven't seen this one yet.

Seems like a good kid...very talented. Get some weight on and is pushed the right way and we got something.

Hope he comes and does not back out...somehow.

Yep I agree. I need to see a better handle and get that hitch out of his shot. He brings it down too low...Will need to get bigger and stronger up top. Otherwise moves ok...and nice vertical. Might be kid have has to have everything right to be th best he can be. Dont know how adaptable h is. We'll see.

Move to the right, finish with the right.  Rinse, repeat.
