He looks the part, can't play the part though. Not a good leader.
He never has needed to be a leader. It isn't something that people can just 'do'. Leadership is a skill like any other. So how about ....."not a good leader...yet."
wow. he has an off game, like everyone else on the team, and suddenly he's no good? did you miss most of the other games this season? thanks for showing up this morning just to make unsubstantiated claims about one of our better players.
Ugh...not this tired line again. It isn't "leadership." It was a bad game. Seriously, you have absolutely no idea if Blue (or anyone else) is a leader, how he leads, etc. etc.
My only gripe with Vander is he does try to make easy plays difficult. On Saturday he blew easy layup and chance for three point play by adding style to the layup. Once he gets over that he will be tough to stop. I do think he is a leader on this team and my confidence remains high for him delivering goods this season.
Are you stupid? Rhetorical question.
Why put Vander down, if there's someone to critisize i would think it would be Junior. In case you didn't watch the game or look at the box score (and judging by your wonderful thread you haven't) Junior's man scored i believe 18 points, and had 6 assist. Junior was getting his ass kicked all night.
So yeah, lets blame this game on Vander, saying he looks good even though he wears the same MU gear as the rest of his teammates.
He looked really good when he tossed his crutches he was given after bending his knee the wrong way--so he could get back at it as quick as possible to help his team win.
OP's pre-game thread: "We lose to good football schools"
OP's post-game thread: "Vander's selfish and not a team player"
Nice. Work.
Vander Blue... Rather Look Good than be Good
It's great that some people have their own peephole into MU practices.
Buzz: "On this play, Vander, we need you to do a hand off pass, then cut to the corner."
Vander: "Sorry coach, but I'd rather look good than play good and have the team win."
Buzz: "No problem, Vander, we'll do something else."
