Why did Marquette play Southern Mississippi in Green Bay in January of 2004?
I knew a game was played in Green Bay, and I assumed it was against UW-GB, so all this talk about this being the first road trip to play against them had me all Alzheimered up.
Southern Miss wanted to play a game in Green Bay to honor Brett Favre. So, they gave up a home game in Hattiesburg to do so.

It was a home game for Southern Miss. They got paid a bunch of money to move the game, as some sort of a promotion for the opening of Green Bay's new convention center/arena.
