Don't say this much, but that was the most enjoyable broadcast I have watched in a long time. Dan Dakich was timely and right on everything, didn't resort to cliches about either team, breaking down what was and wasn't working, highlighting off the ball play. He actually offered true insight of a coach that is non-existent in most broadcasts. Play by play guy a solid pro, too. They highlighted the crowd well, too. Seemed the place was really jumping, particularly in the first half and down the stretch.
Good comments about Rick too.
Agree with all your comments. Found myself thinking the same during the game.
After spending a week on a boat with nothing but CNN International and some sort of soccer channel, I was just happy to get to a TV that had the game on.
Dakich was first class, so much better than most of the Bozo's assigned to our games (who kept calling Lazar "Haywood"?). Hopefully we can draw Dakich for a few BE games too. He lives in the Midwest, so lets hope ESPN assigns him to a lot of the midwest for coverage.
Dakich was great. I watched the game on DVR. Too bad, MU won't see him much, since he does B1G games.
Absolutely agree. O'brien was solid as always and Dakich was focused solely on the game in front of him which is not always the case
