Renaldo Woolridge, son of former NBA standout Orlando Woolridge, listed Pepperdine, Arizona State, Marquette, Boston College, Tennessee and Georgetown as his favorites, with all but the Hoyas offering, according to Rivals. Seton Hall had hopes of landing this 6-7 wing from North Hollywood (Ca.) Harvard Westlake, but that would seem an extreme long shot at this point.

Since I had to search for it myself, he's a 2008 recruit, and he's got a website...

Sorry: I first saw the bit about Woolridge at http://bigeastbasketball.blogspot.com/2007/07/big-east-news-notes-7242007.html , which cited Adam Zagoria's blog, which I now see Cracked Sidewalks also has up.
Another tidbit from the bigeastbasketball site:
On the recruiting front, a couple Rhode Island prospects are getting high major attention, including from Big East programs. South Kingstown's Erik Murphy, a 6-foot-8 forward who'll be a junior at St. Mark's School in Southboro, Mass., is nursing a sprained knee. But that hasn't stopped coaches from BC,
Marquette, Virginia, Syracuse and other high-level schools from expressing their interest.
I think Crean loves coaches' and former NBAers' sons:
- Diener
- Novak
- Jeremiah Rivers
- Barone
- Schiting (sp?)
- Elston Turner (kid from Sac, CA)
I know there are others...
He must love those pedigrees! Heck, he got married to a QB's sister!

Don't forget Niv Berkowitz, son of Mickey Berkowitz, drafted by the Nets but never played in the NBA. That sort of counts. Doesn't it?

Wes Matthews Jr.
So people on this board could handle the "Domer" blood running through his veins? ;)
I remember watching his dad with the Bulls.
Ooooooorrrrrrrrllllllllaaaaaannnnnddoooo Woooooolridge....... a PA announcer's dream name. I could never say his name out loud without it taking 5-10 seconds.
What about Niv Berkowitz? Of course!!!
As for Crean, he not only married a QB's sister, he married a coaches daughter.
High School hoops is all about pedigrees. There's a reason the coach's son(s) are always the top player on the team.
Well...at least in most cases.
well, if he's 6'7", at MU he's a 'big man'.

Out of curiosity, did you consider Antonio Gates, Jason Maxiell, Eric Hicks, Mike Wilkinson or Ellis Myles big men?

well, those guys play inside........Woolridge is a wing - - looks like TC is after him or Swopshire to fill the SF slot that could soon be vacated by Damian Saunders?
