And they stick MU and Texas Tech on ESPNU, Im sorry, but I believe the Marquette game will be a much better game to watch (due to better teams) then Kentucky vs DePaul. Booooo ESPN boooo

Because Kentucky is one of the premier basketball programs of all time with one of the largest most avid fanbases of any program in the country. Pretty simple really.
DePaul has been terrible. They only scored 39 against Northwestern.
Also, the MU-Texas Tech game has a storyline (Knight and Krzyzewski) which will make for a better game than UK-DePaul.
.
Boo-yah!
Probably has an annual contract. Nobody ever heard of the CBE tournament.

ESPNU is going to put a lot of games of good teams on ESPNU this year and next year for one reason...so you guys will bitch a fit to your cable company to get them to carry it.
You should have seen the reaction around here earlier this year when the Ohio State/Indiana game was on ENPNU. I've lived in Cleveland 15 years now, and I can't recall another OSU game that was not available on basic cable. There may have been some, but I don't remember. People here were up in arms asking how ESPN could do such a thing. I offered the same explanation as Chico. People won't call their cable company to demand a channel that airs games they don't care about. I expect ESPN to get increasingly aggressive about this until they get ESPNU on pretty much every cable carrier. Eventually, they will have put a huge game on ESPNU just to create a fire storm.
well then lets start calling our companies up and asking for ESPN90382736 :-\

People down here in the Columbus area were even more upset. But TimeWarner still won't pick up the U, even for their digital cable lineup.
