Title: Offense
Post by: BCHoopster on November 29, 2012, 10:53:39 PM
Can somebody explain what type of offense  MU trying to run? They looked totally confused out there all game.   Not sure dribbling against a zone is a way to beat it.  I love the pick
and roll game Florida runs.  Florida as home is as good as any team in the country.  There bigs are good, really good.  They have shooters, they defend.  Very impressed.  Should be
a 1 seed in March.  This type of game on the road is going to happen alot this year.  Just play zone on MU.  Next year can not come soon enough.  JC is just a below average guard
against good teams.

JC scoring his first points in the game almost halfway n the SECOND half?

Not the senior leadership nor the breakout season we need from him.

Switchables are great.  Someone who can shoot would be even better!  I hope Todd Mayo is coming back for BE play!

I don't understand the infactuation on this board with JR.  Time and time again he shows us that he cannot produce in big games.  Buzz should start Dwil next game, soley on heart and effort alone.  Jr and J-Wil, were by far the most frustrating players to watch last night.  When MU needed leadership the most Cadougan was no where to be found.

Also, i'm not sure how anybody can slam Vander, or say he made bone-headed plays.  He was one of the only guys playing the entire game like it was still close.  Love that kids heart! Shoot away Van.

I thought Derick played very well (considering the circumstances) and cannot wait until he is running point next year.

I'm getting fed-up with Junior as well, but he still is the best option at the PG spot. Simply, the offense runs better with him... Tempo, spacing, etc.

D. Wilson doesn't have the same confidence to run the offensive. Now, the skills might be there... Yesterday, when Florida challenged him, he was able to make some plays and did handle the pressure very well. But, to start him over Junior, he would need to make a big leap.

For better or worse, Junior is the starting PG for this team. I will say though, I'm getting sick and tired of watching Junior make horrible cross-court passes. That crap needs to end. Senior PGs with his playing experience should not be turning the ball over in such a manner. It's extremely frustrating to watch MU get a stop, only to have Junior throw the ball away 2 seconds later.

I don't know about Derrick Wilson running point next year.  I think Duane Wilson might have the keys to the bus.
