Not good for the Big East to have this happen early in the nonconference portion of the schedule.

Really hurts UL...he was one of the main reasons this team could have been the #1 team in the country...gonna lose some tough games without him.

Same old Louisville.  They underperform in the non-con part of their schedule.  Then come February of the Big East conference season they will be playing their best basketball.

When do we play them?  Feb 3rd.  Figures.   >:(

How have they underperformed this season?

Other than Northern Iowa, they rolled their first five wins and barely lost to Duke on a neutral without their best interior defender.

Year after year Louisville underperforms during the noncon.  Year after year.  Now with Dieng outt they will do it again.  BTW, when you are ranked #2 pre-season you need to go undefeated in the noncon.  I say they will lose two or more.

I don't think you can say a team is under-performing when one of the best defensive front-court players in the nation is sitting on the bench.

I hear this every year with Louisviile... injuries, suspensions, etc..  I am not saying Pitino is not good coach or the like.  Bottom line is their record in the noncon never matches expectations.

Come tourney time they will be excellent. But they will underperform until February.

How many losses is the #2 pre-season team allowed in the non-con given their schedule?

Pitino went after him harder, signing his best buddy from HS, Justin Coleman, even when it was obvious that Coleman wasn't going to be eligible.

Looks like SI is reporting the Dieng will be out 4-6 weeks.
