Title: Jamil off the bench
Post by: jsglow on November 21, 2012, 06:52:43 PM
I'm kinda liking it.  Juan has certainly earned his minutes (although only played 7 today).  Perhaps we might take the same approach we did with Jae during his Junior year at times when E. Williams would give Buzz some opening minutes and keep Jae from that early foolish foul.

On another related note, Buzz certainly shortened the rotation today with Juan getting 7 and Steve just a minute or two.

I think Buzz is giving wilson some extra motivation, to get him hungry, because he seemed too passive the first couple games

Buzz has even discussed it.  "Jamil should/could be an assistant coach.  But right now I need him to be a Dog."

Assistant coaches don't throw behind the back bounce passes in the lane when you are trying to ice a game.

Agreed.  A move like that would put a Frosh at the end of the bench for a week.

I am guessing Anderson continues to start until we lose a game. That is why Eric Williams kept starting. Buzz is superstitous when it comes to that kind of stuff.
