best of luck to steve with the start of his new life.
Some more snippets about the soon-to-be non-bachelor:
- Novak had been dating Canino since they met in 2003 when she drove to New Orleans to watch Marquette play in the Final Four. They were in the same freshman communication class all season, but the first time they talked was in New Orleans.
The 5-foot-1 Canino and Novak were an instant match despite the differences in their heights and backgrounds. Canino grew up in the Chicago suburbs and was proud of her city, while Novak never missed a chance to talk up Brown Deer and Milwaukee. With both families in attendance, Novak proposed to Canino on Aug. 11 following a Chicago White Sox game. They will be married July 28 in Chicago. - Who is Steve Nolan? (http://www.chicagosuburbannews.com/hodgkins/lifestyle/x1166187894)
- I'm sure NONE of you will be crashing the wedding! (http://www.sfx-lg.org/sfx_parish/bulletin/thisweek.pdf)
Novak was actually shooting hoops at the Al on Tuesday afternoon. I was in town to catch the Brewers game and stopped by the Al and saw him and someone who I didn't recognize playing HORSE.
Hmmm, a HORSE game against Novak. Ranks up there with a long-drive contest against Bubba Watson, a fastball contest with Joel Zumaya, an exclamation mark contest with Murf (!).
A 6'10" guy marrying a 5'1" girl. I love America.
Congrats to Steve!
Congrats to Steve and best of luck next season.
Whenever I saw them on campus it looked so weird to me, with the almost 2 foot height difference. But I'm really happy for Steve and hope they have a long and happy marriage.
Here's their "The Knot" wedding page (http://weddings.theknot.com/pwp/view/co_main.aspx?coupleid=3290058559364674). :D
Hey, does anyone want to see what's on their registry (http://www.crateandbarrel.com/gr/guest/ViewRegistry.aspx?grId=1388185)? ;)
I think the many moments of happiness he brought to my life are worth a $10 chrome paper towel holder. Where do I send it?
I'm glad to know that Steve Novak, NBA player, and ZiggysFryBoy, no talent ass clown, both were registered for a lot of the same crap at crate & barrel. ;D
Um, uh, a great string but Steve does not get married until next weekend. Looking forward to it.
Kind of a common mistake, but on the knot page am I the only one that finds it strange that the time is posted as 12:00 AM, I mean I suppose it could be right, just don't know that many people that get married at midnight.
Yeah, I read this thread and then saw Steve and some others out and about this Saturday - looks like the date of the wedding must be the following weekend...hard not to notice a 6'10" guy across the street.
The wedding is this Saturday the 28th. I was invited by a friend but I've got a family obligation this weekend. Damn. There goes my chance to attend and NBA wedding... :D
Met her once at the annex. Seemed like a pretty cool girl. As my good friend once said, "She nice girl. Easy on eyes too."

Just kidding...
But the guys sure look dapper!
I feel a little bad but I don't recognize the man on the far left next to TT. Anyone?
Also, with that hair growth Diener isn't that much shorter then Joe C.

Terry Sanders
it's great to see the amount of success just out of that group of guys. Steve and Travis in the NBA, Scott in the NBDL, Marcus in European league, JC in Mexican league, Robert played in Europe (don't know if he still is), Todd coaching, and Terry sanders with his own business venture. it really speaks well of the program.
Anyone know if Crean was on hand?

Thank you. Now it clicks.
Maybe it's because Sanders looks more like a businessman then a former baller. ;)
I'm kinda surprised none of those guys are in tuxes... he must have gone like strictly family in the wedding party or something... it seems to me at least that most wedding have college friends as groomsman and best mans and I would guess most of Novak's good friends were basketball players..

Is Scott still in the NBDL? I thought he left because there are no updated stats for this past year in their database.
But I agree - those guys are starting to make good use of their talents and degrees.
AL would be proud. :)
No, Scott was in Alberqueque but I think he's moved onto a different league but Greg Clausen is now in the NBDL ???
