Buzz on his hands and knees wiping up the floor while Motta stood there with his arms folded yukking it up with the officials. Have no idea if it means anything to the players, but still an intetresting contrast.
Matta is also handicapped, so maybe a little compassion is necessary...

So Matta's spine is "crooked," eh?
Love Buzz and his quirks. That and his recruiting are the most "AL like" qualities we've had in a coach since he left us.
Little more country feel obviously. My concern is more and more of MU will relate to/want the "stuffy button down" guy as tuition goes up, up, up. Although Larry threw a helluva curve last night.
Who wouldn't love Buzz? In my opinion he is the best representative of our university, as the head coach, since Al.
4ever
Could not say it better myself. The guy is unique, lovable and entertaining.
In Thad's defense there aren't many DI coaches that would do what Buzz did.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Buzz wearing tan combat boots while toweling off the court?
You don't think Pittino would be mopping the floor in his white suit?
Buzz was showing that at the core he is still the walk-on team manager at Navarro.

...and having a blast as well.
Wow, didn't realize Matta was still so young. Dude looks older.

Of course not.
People mop up after him.
Unfortunately, ask the waiters at Porcini.
I feel like maybe Tom Izzo would've joined Buzz wiping down the floor.... I feel like personality-wise he's the closest thing out there to Buzz. Obviously with quite a bit more hardware so far.

Seriously, the guy's back is held together with bubble gum and tooth picks. Give the man a break.
when i see something like this from buzz i just hope it's sincere, and so far he hasn't shown a reason to doubt him. the difference between buzz and thad isn't back surgery...if buzz is sincere, he'll still have his players doing the same thing 20 years from now when his back doesn't allow him to join them. as i watched that scenario play out i saw a coach who felt like he was on that ship to provide entertainment to the troops as a "thank you," rather than have the troops clean the floor for his players.

I'll give him some compassion, but when that was going around if Buzz had the same disability, and his players were just chatting with him, I guarantee you buzz would have said. "What are you talking to me for, grab a towel and get your a$$ on the floor."

Amen to that!
