According to this special offer

You can now get 5 tickets for the price of 1... $500 for 5 tickets.
Just saw that...grrr, may have made the trip at that price point
Saw that too...maybe they should have done some market research :)
Also now offering courtside seats for $500, instead of $1500.
Maybe they finally gave up on Obama and friends showing up.
They can't find military families to give these away to?
I would have definitely gone at the $100 price-point. Now I'm bitter about going to the FL game :P

I thought the majority of tickets were already being "donated" to military families.

I just hope there's a good turnout now. I signed up for those free tix and round trip air fare on FB the other day. I don't think anyone won. But yeah, I agree that they need to find some military families to give the tickets away to.
Who the hell can afford $500 per ticket (plus airfare and hotel) for a college basketball game? Not me—and I make good money.
You pay $500 for the Super Bowl—not a random college hoops game.

If you can find Super Bowl tickets for $500, buy the maximum for me.
This kills me. I was thinking of driving up from Atlanta with a friend and we decided last minute not to go. Never again.
Well crap. I'd have paid $500 for three tickets and made the drive down if they'd have let me know sooner.
They're responding to people asking why such late notice on facebook.
Re: 3 courtside seats - We are so sorry about it being so last minute. The donor just stepped forward and we opted to make the offer even though the timing is so tight.
Re: 5 for $500 after someone heard on the news last night and was told this morning at Patriot Point that it was sold out: Sorry for the confusion. These tickets were reserved for this special offer. You can get them by clicking on the link above!

LOL, I bet. "We weren't willing to sell you tickets at $500 each earlier, but we kept some aside to sell last minute at 5 for $500." They probably should have just not responded if it was going to be that silly.

Ditto. I am good friends with a former tOSU b-ball player who now lives in Houston area. I was trying to get him to fly to ATL then drive up together but couldn't make it work.
Definitely would have made the drive from N.C. for $100.
Greed sucks.
