He's now stands 6'9". Constantly being compared to Durant.
Recently took the ACT--qualifying is not an issue.
Yes, Roy Williams was here to see him last week and has offered.
Kentucky came yesterday.
Some of the other schools involved include: Georgetown, MSU, Michigan, Tennessee, Memphis, Florida, FSU, Stanford, Kansas, Duke, UW, MU.
Wants to narrow the list of official visits (5) after his current high school season. You will see UNC, Stanford, and Kentucky on that list. Will not burn an official on UW or MU.
Wants to sign early before senior season.
Didn't attend any school's Madness last month.
Bo and Buzz have been relentless.
He's ready and parents are ready for him to go away to college. However, having him close is a big advantage in following his college career. They are prepared to travel, he is their youngest child, or follow via TV.
Point blank question answered----Yes, the Warriors are still in it----but hasn't seen other schools yet.
My 2 cents-------------takes the blue blood schollie
Thanks for the update. Not counting on it.
Your short term memory loss forgot to add his name, Kevon Looney.
Crap.
Or is this Looney?
For sure, Looney
sadly, I agree with 4ever.
Thanks for update 4ever. As badly as I want him I do understand if he goes elsewhere.
Just give us a chance.
When UNC, Duke and Kentucky are involved we're an underdog.
Sounds like being close to home would be a nice added benefit for him but definitely isn't a top priority. For some kids, getting away is what they really want to do and I hope if he does it works out for him. Especially when he can take his pick at any major basketball university across the country.
Looney will not be hanging around the Dairy State after high school. Can't see him going to MU—and certainly not to UW. My guess: He'll pick from UNC, Kentucky, and Georgetown...with UNC the winner. It's extremely tough to turn down those elite schools.

MU
was the front runner until 4ever hit a nerve poking around in his mouth.

Well, if the decision comes down to which can be said most articulately, "oat cuh-whoa-why-nuh," "uh-shuk-she" or "muh-ket," then perhaps 4ever just gave us a huge advantage.
EDIT: No way is he going to even bother with Georgetown and risk sounding like Astro. (Then again, do kids today even know who Astro is?)
Georgetown is heavily involved and he's definitely near the top of my wish list for '14.

The Hoyas are finished for good if they catch that deadlock disease that's going around D.C.

So does that mean his list will most likely be 7 schools if Marquette and UW make the cut, but he will only visit the other five, or that he won't burn an official on UW or MU before narrowing the list?
Bad recruiting news???

Not impressed. He didn't even outscore the other team.

WOW! Looney if you so happen to read this, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE COME TO MARQUETTE!! PLEASE!
Ah, he prolly won't.
That is some line in boxscore. Whether he comes to MU or not I think every ball fan should go out and watch him play HS ball over next two years. He might end up being the most recruited player i state history and McD AA sounds very possible before he is done.

He will be the most recruited play in WI state history. He will hold that distinction for one year, until Diamond Stone breaks it.

No trying to take anything away from his 50, but it does look like he's playing against sixth graders in that video.
I really hope they put the Hamilton Vincent game on TV.

Ah, Ray.... the pride of Wisconsin Dells, which incidentally, is also home of the second "biggest" sleeper since Rip Van Winkle -- J.P. Gavinski.
Isn't Looney related to the Maymon clan?

I belive he's related to the 76ers Nick Young
Nick is Kevon's 1st cousin. His mother and Nick's mother are sisters.
